The reason why mommy feels better today 〜今日ママの気分がいい理由〜

Yesterday　昨日

Ehime: "Mommy? You are not trying to go for a walk with those party-ish sunglasses, are you?"

えひめ：「ママ？まさか、しょのパーティサングラスをかけてお散歩に行くつもりじゃないでしゅよね？」

Mommy: "What? Are these strange?"

ママ：「えっ？なにか変？」

I have been getting headaches & migraines often. I showed my migraine diary to the doctor yesterday, but he couldn't narrow the reasons why I get headaches so often. He recommended to use the daily medications to prevent pain. But I wanted to go a more natural way. 

私はよく、頭痛や偏頭痛があります。昨日、お医者様に偏頭痛日記を見せましたが、お医者様も、どうしてこんなに頭痛が起きるのかというはっきりした原因を突き止めることができませんでした。お医者様は、頭痛予防のため、毎日飲むお薬を勧めてくれました。でも私は、もっと自然な方法で治したいと思いました。

My husband and I had a talk what we can do. One of the things we decided was going to bed a little earlier at night, so we both can get enough sleep. The other thing was buying me a new pair of sunglasses to prevent UV. I lost my old ones last fall. Until the new sunglasses come to me, I decided to wear those toy-ish sunglasses. Better than doing nothing, right?

主人と私は、自分たちにできることを話し合いました。そして決めたことのひとつは、夜、もう少し早い時間にベッドに行こうということでした。そうすれば、二人とも十分睡眠が取れるからです。もうひとつは、紫外線を予防するための新しいサングラスを購入することでした。以前使っていたものは、昨年の秋に無くしてしまったんです。新しいサングラスがやって来るまで、私はこのおもちゃのようなサングラスをかけることにしました。なにもしないよりはいいですよね？

Ehime: "I don't know this person."

えひめ：「わたち、この人を知りましぇん。」

Mommy: "It's your mommy!"

ママ：「ママです！」

Kona: "Daddy, where is mommy?"

コナ：「パパ、ママはどこ？」

Kahlua: "Is she hiding in this bush?"

カルア：「この茂みに隠れてる？」

Mommy: "I'm here!"

ママ：「ここ、ここっ！」

At cows　牛たちのところで

Joy: "Who are you? Did you get lost?"

ジョイ：「どなたでしょう？道に迷ったの？」」

Happy: "Joy, I told you that you shouldn't talk to strangers. Oh, this is a nice chin rest♪"

ハッピー：「ジョイ、知らない人に話しかけてはダメって言ったでしょ。あら、これ、なかなかいいあご置きだわ♪

Joy: "I'm not a chin rest!"

ジョイ：「ぼくはあご置きじゃない！」

Mommy: "I'm not a stranger!"

ママ：「私は知らない人じゃない！」

Today　今日

Kahlua: "How's your headache this morning, mommy?"

カルア：「ママ、今朝は頭痛のほうはどう？」 

Mommy: "Thank you for asking. My headache is gone. Wearing the party-ish sunglasses is working well♪ Maybe I can dehydrate apples today."

ママ：「尋ねてくれてありがとね。頭痛、どこか行っちゃった。パーティサングラスが効いてるのかしらね〜♪　今日は、干しリンゴでも作ってみようかしら。」

Ehime: "Mmm! Dry apples!"

えひめ：「ん〜！干しリンゴ！」

Mommy: "Before I dehydrate apples, I'm going to clean the chicken coop, take care of the vegetable garden and clean the garage."

ママ：「干しリンゴを作る前に、にわとり小屋を掃除して、野菜畑のお世話をして、ガレージの掃除をするわね。」

Kona: "Sounds like we have time for a nap."

コナ：「じゃあ、お昼寝の時間はあるみたいだね。」

At 10:35am　午前10時35分

Mommy: "Good. Because I'm feeling better, it has been so productive today."

ママ：「よかった。今日は気分がいいから、いろいろできて、とっても充実しているわ。」

Mommy: "Fuji apples look delicious. Let's eat one slice♪"

ママ：「ふじりんご、おいしそう。一枚食べちゃおうっと♪」

Kona: "I just saw you ate one slice of apple. Should I let on Kahlua and Ehime? Oh, there are so many slices here♪"

コナ：「ママがりんご一枚食べるのを目撃しちゃったな〜　カルアくんとひめたんに言っちゃおうかな〜　あっ、ここにこんなにたくさんりんごがある♪」

Mommy: "OK, OK. Here is a bribe to you."

ママ：「わかった、わかった。はい、わいろ。」

Kona: "Thank you♪"

コナ：「ありがと♪」

Mommy: "Now, let's put all the apple slices in the dehydrator."

ママ：「さあ、乾燥機にりんごのスライス全部入れようっと。」

Everyone's important place 〜みんなの大切な居場所〜

Mommy: "Ahhh. Because I dropped the seeds accidentally the other day, a bud of radish started to grow on the ground...."

ママ：「あああ。こないだつい種を落としてしまったから、ラディッシュの芽が地面から出てきちゃった‥‥」

On the afternoon walk　午後のお散歩で

Daddy: "Look, honey. These are the footprints of deer."

パパ：「見て、ママ。これは、シカの足跡だ。」

Mommy: "You are right. These are definitely the print of deer hooves."

ママ：「あら、ホント。これは絶対、シカのひずめの後よね。」

Daddy: "Oh, I found the place where the deer lied down. Come over here."

パパ：「あっ、シカが横になったところ、見つけた。こっちに来て。」

Daddy: "See the area where the weeds are pushed down?"

パパ：「ほら、草が押し倒されたところ。」

Kona: "Oh, yeah. I can smell deer."

コナ：「ホントだ。シカのにおいがする。」

Kona: "We are providing the comfortable place to deer as the Deer Inn."

コナ：「ぼくたち、シカ宿として、シカさんたちに心地よい場所を提供しているんだね。」

Ehime: "He he. It's a new business♪"

えひめ：「えへへ。新ちいビジネスでしゅね♪」

Daddy: "What are you doing, Kona?"

パパ：「コナ、なにしてるんだ？」

Kona: "I'm checking the new construction that ground squirrels made."

コナ：「ジリスが作った新築のおうちをチェックしているの。」

Ehime: "I want to find them, too."

えひめ：「わたちも見つけたい。」

Ehime: "Oh, I found them."

えひめ：「あ、見つけた。」

Mommy: "Gosh! They are huge!"

ママ：「あらま！また大きなおうちね〜！」

Daddy: "Now, let's go home."

パパ：「さあ、おうちに帰ろう。」

Kahlua: "Phew, it's getting warm."

カルア：「ふう、暑くなってきた。」

At cows　牛のところで

Mommy: "Lets brush you, Happy."

ママ：「ハッピーちゃん、ブラッシングしようね。」

Happy: "Fu fu♪ Can I eat that?"

ハッピー：「うふふ♪　それ、食べてもいい？」

Mommy: "No."

ママ：「ダメ。」

Happy's foster mommy: "Let's brush you, too, Joy."

ハッピーの里親ママさん：「ジョイもブラッシングしようか。」

Joy: "He he♪"

ジョイ：「えへへ♪」

Joy: "To show my appreciation for you providing the comfortable place for us, I'm going to remove your keratin by licking with my rough tounge."

ジョイ：「ぼくたちに心地よい場所を提供してくれているおばさんに感謝の気持ちをこめて、ぼくの荒い舌でペロッとなめて、角質を取り除いてあげるね。」

Happy's foster mommy: "Umm... OK. Thank you... I guess."

ハッピーの里親ママさん：「あ‥‥　うん。ありがとう‥‥　かな。」

At the doctor's office　お医者様のところで

Daddy: "Look, honey. In the doctor's room, you can see the cute drawings."

パパ：「ママ、見てごらん。診察室に、かわいい手描きの絵があるよ。」

Mommy: "Bunnysville, pop.8, A very friendly place, it says."

ママ：「うさぎ村、人口８羽。とってもフレンドリーな場所、だって。」

Mommy: "Grandma-ish bunny is reading a book for two children who are sitting on the log. But there is a shy boy behind the tree, listening to the Grandma's story, too."

ママ：「おばあちゃんみたいなうさぎさんが、丸太に座った子供たちに本を読んであげてるのね。でもシャイな男の子が木の後ろにいて、その子もおばあちゃんのお話を聞いてるよ。」

Daddy: "And the girl with flowers on the left is also listening to the Grandma's story. They are cute. Good doctor's office."

パパ：「それから、左側でお花と一緒にいる女の子も、おばあちゃんのお話を聞いてるんだ。みんなかわいいね。いい診察室だ。」

Kona: "What are you two doing?"

コナ：「ふたりで、なにしてるの？」

Kahlua: "Practicing for modeling, isn't it?"

カルア：「モデルの練習でしょ？」

Mommy: "Look left with a smile."

ママ：「ニッコリしたまま左見て〜」

Ehime: "(smile)"

えひめ：「（ニコッ）」

Mommy: "Look right now."

ママ：「今度は右見て〜」

Ehime: "(look right)"

えひめ：「（サッ）」

Mommy: "Look left like you found a deer family on the hill."

ママ：「丘の上にシカの家族を見つけたような感じで左見て〜」

Ehime: "(look left)"

えひめ：「（サッ）」 

Kona: "What? A deer family?"

コナ：「えっ？シカの家族？」

Kahlua: "Where? On the hill?"

カルア：「どこ？丘の上？」

At the car　車で

Kona: "I don't want to go in the jail. Please let me go!"

コナ：「ぼく、ろうやに入りたくない。どうか見逃してください！」

Daddy: "It's a car."

パパ：「車だよ。」

Kona: "Then, would you play 'Dancing with Goldens' with me?"

コナ：「じゃあ、ぼくと”ダンシング・ウィズ・ゴールデンズ”して遊んでくれる？」

Daddy: "Dancing with Wolves, isn't it?"

パパ：「ダンシング・ウィズ・ウルブルズでしょ？」

Kona: "I'm Kevin Costner and you are a wolf, daddy."

コナ：「ぼくがケビンコスナーで、パパがおおかみ。」

Daddy: "Ahahahaha!!! That's funny!"

パパ：「あはははは！！！それはおもしろい！」

Kona: "You laughed at me!"

コナ：「パパ、ぼくのこと笑った！」

Daddy: "Oh, sorry. You are as handsome as Kevin Costner."

パパ：「ああ、ごめん、ごめん。コナは、ケビンコスナーと同じくらいハンサムだよ。」

Daddy: "Now let's go in. Awww... you are heavy."

パパ：「さあ、入ろう。あううう‥‥　コナ、重いな。」

Kona: "I'm in the jail♪"

コナ：「ぼく、ろうやにいます♪」

Daddy: "In the car."

パパ：「車だよ。」

Daddy: "Are you OK, Kahlua?"

パパ：「カルア、大丈夫？」

Kahlua: "Yes. Thank you."

カルア：「うん、ありがと。」

Ehime: "Brother Kona, I'm coming in now!"

えひめ：「コナにい〜、いま行きましゅからね〜！」

Ehime: "Woosh!"

えひめ：「シュワッチ！」

Daddy: "Ultraman now?"

パパ：「今度はウルトラマンか？」
