Mommy: "Our dear friends in Hawai visited us last weekend. Look. They brought us lots of goodies from Hawaii. These are the things that we cannot get around here. I'm very happy♪"

ママ：「先週末、私たちの大好きなハワイのお友だちが、遊びに来てくれたの。見て。ハワイから、たくさんのおみやげを持ってきてくれたの。ここら辺では、手に入らないものばかり。とってもうれしいわ〜。」

Sachi: "I wonder if we can get to eat any gooddies from Hawaii, too."

さち：「ハワイからのおみやげ、わたちたちも食べられるんでしゅかね〜」

Makana: "I don't think so. Instead of thinking about it, I recommend to take a nap in the sun. It'll be raining later today."

マカナ：「ムリだと思うよ。そういうのを考えるより、太陽の下でお昼寝するといいよ。今日はあとで、雨になるから。」

Sachi: "I can't help thinking about food, though."

さち：「でもどうちても、食べ物のことを考えちゃう。」

Mommy: "My friends came from Hawaii, but we couldn't invite them to stay in our house because of our busy schedule between the farm, winery, restaurant during the harvesting time. Let's take photos and send them to our friends."

ママ：「ハワイからお友だちが来てくれたんだけど、収穫時でファームやワイナリー、レストランの間の忙しいスケジュールで、おうちにはご招待できなかったのよね。写真を撮って、お友だちに送ってあげよう。」

Sunny: "She says photos, brother."

サニー：「写真だって、にいさん。」

Serene: "Just a second. I see some hay on the ground."

セリーン：「ちょっと待って。地面に干し草があるから。」

Cali: "Umm... I kind of get nervous when she holds a camera toward us."

カリ：「あの‥‥ カメラをこっちに向けられると、なんか緊張する。」

Fuku: "Should we take a pose?"

フク：「ポーズ取ったほうがいいかしら？」

Sachi: "You can take a photo of me anytime♪"

さち：「わたちの写真なら、いつでも取ってくれていいでしゅよ♪」

Mommy: "You are too close to take a photo!"

ママ：「さっちゃんは近すぎて、写真が撮れない！」

Mommy: "Chicken thighs look delicious when they are charred."

ママ：「チキンのもも肉、焦げ色がつくとおいしそうよね〜。」

Sachi: "Is that so? I don't think my brother and I have ever eaten chicken meat."

さち：「しょうなんでしゅか？　にいにいとわたち、チキンのお肉、食べたことないと思うんでしゅけど。」

Mommy: "Because your brother is allergic to chicken meat. Well... it's more like he is sensitive to chicken meat. His stomach cannot digest well."

ママ：「だってマーくんは、チキンアレルギーだから。というか‥‥ マーくんのおなかはチキンのお肉に敏感で、うまく消化できないのよ。」

Sachi: "I can eat it all meat with no problem. I have an iron stomach."

さち：「わたちは問題なく食べられるのに。鉄の胃袋でしゅから。」

Mommy: "I know it very well."

ママ：「よく知ってる。」

Mouth in the water 〜お水の中のお口〜

 

Serene: Good morning."

セリーン：「おはよう。」

Mommy: "Good morning, Serene. Did you come to drink the water?"

ママ：「セリーンくん、おはよう。お水を飲みにきたの？」

Serene: "Yes. Umm... I'm not sure. I put mouth in the water, but I'm still thinking what to do."

セリーン：「うん。えーっと‥‥ どうかな。お水の中にお口は入れたけど、どうしようかなあってまだ考え中。」

Mommy: "Thinking? In that position?"

ママ：「考え中？　その体勢で？」

Sachi: "Mommy, don't you know you can play with the water? The water is not just to drink. You can also make bubbles in the water."

さち：「ママ、お水で遊べるって知らないんでしゅか？　お水は飲むためのものだけじゃないんでしゅよ。あわあわだって作れるんでしゅよ。」

Mommy: "Oh, that's right. I've seen you are doing it."

ママ：「あ、そうだった。さっちゃんがあわあわ作ってるの、見たことあるわ。」

Burrs on Makana 〜マカナについたくっつき虫〜

 

Daddy: "It took me a while to get rid of all burrs from Makana yesterday."

パパ：「昨日、マカナからくっつき虫を全部取るの、時間がかかったよ。」

Mommy: "Did he go over the temporary fence in the backyard, and went in the nature area?"

ママ：「マーくんが、裏庭の仮設のフェンスを乗り越えて自然のエリアに入っちゃったの？」

Daddy: "It looks like it."

パパ：「そうみたい。」

Mommy: "Aww. Thank you for brushing him."

ママ：「あうう。ブラシしてくれてありがとね。」 

Makana: "Daddy exaggerated. I just had a good time."

マカナ：「パパは、大げさなんだよ。ぼくはただ、楽しんだだけなのに。」

Mommy: "Oh, yeah. I'm sure you did."

ママ：「ああ、うん。だろうね。」

Female tarantulas 〜メスのタランチュラ〜

Sachi: "What!? Something black is moving over there!"

さち：「えっ！？　あしょこでなんか黒いものが動いてる！」

Makana: "Where?"

マカナ：「どこ？」

Mommy: "Oh, that."

ママ：「ああ、あれね。」

Mommy: "It's a tarantula. If you don't bother them, they are not harmful. I heard the female talantulas live more than 20 years, while the male tarantulas live only 3 to 5 years."

ママ：「タランチュラよ。ジャマしなければ、害はないのよ。メスのタランチュラは、20年以上も生きるんだって。オスのタランチュラは、3年から5年しか生きないのにね。」

Makana: "That's not fair."

マカナ：「それは、不公平だ。」

Makana: "Oh? These look familiar to me. I wonder why."

マカナ：「あれ？　なんかこれ、馴染み深い気がする。なんでだろう。」

Makana: "Is it because I smell daddy & mommy on these chairs? Let me smell."

マカナ：「イスに、パパとママのにおいがするからかな？ クンクンしてみよう。」

Makana: "Hmm... I don't know. Where did I see them?"

マカナ：「うーん‥‥ わからないな。どこで見たのかな？」

Mommy: "In the previous tasting room. We kept them in the storage room, but we cleaned up today. Right now, we don't know where we should keep them."

ママ：「前のテイスティングルームでよ。ストレージルームで保管してたんだけど、今日全部取り出してきたの。今のところは、どこに置くかわからないのよね。」

Harvesting grapes by hand 〜手収穫のぶどう〜

 

Mommy: "I'm so excited with harvesting Grenache Blanc!"

ママ：「グルナッシュブランを収穫するの、とってもワクワクしちゃう！」

Daddy: "Grenache Blanc is one of your very favorite wines, isn't it?"

パパ：「グルナッシュブランは、ママの本当に大好きなワインのひとつだもんね。」

Mommy: "Yes, I love the wine since we became a winery. It's really delicious♪"

ママ：「うん。ワイナリーになって以来、ずっと好き。本当においしいんだもの♪」

Sachi: "Is Grenache Blanc more delicious than apples? (smile)"

さち：「グルナッシュブランって、りんごよりおいちい？（ニコニコ）」

Makana: "Sachi, mommy & daddy are talking about the grapes before they become wine. Only humans think the wine is delicious."

マカナ：「さっちゃん、パパとママは、ワインになる前のぶどうの話しをしているんだよ。ワインは、人間だけがおいしいって思うんだよ。」

Makana: "I told you that cannot happen!"

マカナ：「そんなのありえないって言ったでしょっ！」 

Sachi: "So, who's paw shape is it really?"

さち：「で、本当は、誰の足型？」

Makana: "I wonder how the dog left the paw shape."

マカナ：「その犬、どうやって足型を残したのかな。」

ママ：「ジャパンTVで見ているばけばけっている15分ドラマ、今シーズンは素晴らしいわ。1896年に、アメリカ人の男性と結婚した日本の女性のお話しなの。」

Mommy: "The song for the drama is also wonderful. It tells the good time and bad time to survive in this world."

ママ：「ドラマの主題歌も素晴らしいのよ。この世界で生き残るためのいい時、悪い時を歌ってるの。」

Mommy: "This is the English version of the song. Reading the English version is even more touchy for some reason than the Japanese version."

ママ：「これは、その英語バージョン。英語バージョンは、なぜか日本語バージョンよりさらに感情に響いてしまう。」

Sachi: "Did you say 'Shall we go for a walk again tonight?' I can go anytime♪"

さち：「”今夜も散歩しましょうか”って言った？　わたち、いつでも行けましゅよ♪」

Mommy: "You chased after an off-leashed dog this morning. That was more like running than walking."

ママ：「さっちゃんは今朝、リードから離れた犬を追いかけたでしょ。あれは、お散歩というより、ランニングだったわよ。」

A talantula is here! 〜タランチュラがいる！〜

 

Daddy: "Makana was barking to the backyard. So I checked, and this is what I saw. It was a talantula."

パパ：「マカナが裏庭に向かって吠えてたんだよ。それでチェックしてみたら、これがいたんだ。タランチュラ。」

Mommy: "What!? A talantula in our backyard!?"

ママ：「えっ！？　うちの裏庭にタランチュラ！？」

Makana: "I got excited seeing the black object was moving, so I barked. But Daddy said I should not be close to it, so I didn't."

マカナ：「なんか黒いものが動いてたから、ぼく、ワクワクしちゃって鳴いちゃったの。でもパパがダメって言ったから、近寄らなかったよ。」

Mommy: "Good job. As long as you don't bother talantulas, they don't do anything to you."

ママ：「えらかったね。タランチュラのジャマをしなければ、向こうもマーくんに何もしないから。」

Grey hair 〜グレーな毛〜

Ken: "Ohhhh!!! I'm excited!!!"

ケン：「おおお！！！　ワクワクしちゃう〜！！！」

Mommy: "You look like it."

ママ：「そんな感じね。」

Mommy: "You are getting more grey like your biological daddy."

ママ：「ケンくん、生物学上のパパみたいに、だんだんグレーになってきたね〜」

 

Hana: "Fufu. My son is getting grey, but I'm not. I must be young."

ハナ：「うふふ。私の息子がグレーになってきているけど、私はなってない。私ってば、きっと若いのね〜」

Mommy: "I'm getting support from L'Oreal when I can't go to the hair salon."

ママ：「私はヘアサロンに行けないとき、ロレアルのお世話になってるよ。」

Sachi: "This is my natural color, so what?"

さち：「わたちは、これが生まれつきの色でしゅけど、何か？」

Mommy: "You look great with it."

ママ：「さっちゃんは、それでカッコいいよ。」

I made it. The pressed flower frame. 〜できたよ。押し花のフレーム〜

 

Mommy: "Look! My pressing flowers went well. They actually have great aroma, too. I made a pressed flower frame using these flowers and leaves. What do you think?"

ママ：「見て！　ママの押し花、上手くいったのよ。いい香りもするしね。そのお花や葉っぱを使って、押し花のフレームを作ってみたの。どう思う？」

Sachi: "Hmm...."

さち：「うーん‥‥」

Sachi: "I did some weeding in the backyard this morning. If you need leaves, you can probably find them on the ground."

さち：「今朝わたち、裏庭で草むしりちたんでしゅよね。葉っぱが必要なら、まだ地面に落ちてると思いましゅけど。」

Makana: "In another words, please clean her mess, she is saying."

マカナ：「言い換えれば、散らかしたのを片付けておいてね、ということだよ。」

Mommy: "Awww...."

ママ：「あううう‥‥」
