Hammer 〜ハンマー〜

Mommy: "The rain is coming soon. Let's hammer the nails down on the roof."

ママ：「もうすぐ雨がやって来る。屋根のくぎ、打ち付けとこうっと。」

Mommy: "Done. I think chickens are safe now."

ママ：「できた。これで、にわとりさんたち、安全ね。」

Chicken A: "The hammmer sound was scary, wasn't it?"

にわとりA：「ハンマーの音、怖かったわね〜」

Chicken B: "Yes. It was more scary than the rain."

にわとりB：「うん。雨より怖かった。」

Mommy: "The shed is OK, I think. It got fixed last year."

ママ：「納屋は大丈夫だと思うわ。昨年修理してもらったし。」

Makana: "Did you hammer down on our house roof, too?"

マカナ：「おうちの屋根も、ハンマーしたの？」

Mommy: "I didn't. I might break the roof if I did."

ママ：「してません。そんなことしたら、屋根、壊しちゃうわよ。」

Daddy: "Let's clean your paws, Sachi."

パパ：「さち、足、きれいにしよう。」

Sachi: "Umm, I have a little errands to do..."

さち：「あの、ちょっと用事があって‥‥」

Daddy: "You don't have any errands. Lie down here, so I can clean your paws."

パパ：「用事なんてない。さあ、ここに横になって。そしたらパパ、さちの足をきれいにできるから。」

 Sachi: "Awww..."

さち：「あううう‥‥」

Daddy: "Mommy is not going to open the door until your paws are clean."

パパ：「さちの足がきれいになるまで、ママはドアを開けてくれないからな。」

Sachi: "Does it mean you are not able to go in the house, too?"

さち：「ってことは、パパもおうちの中に入れないんでしゅか？」

Makana: "And me, too."

マカナ：「ぼくもだよ。」

The winter has come. 〜冬がやって来た〜

Mommy: "This money tree is having the end of the season. All leaves are about to fall."

ママ：「このマニーツリー、シーズンの終わりを迎えてる。葉っぱが全部落ちちゃうね。」

Mommy: "And these sunflowers that have started to grow on the ground this fall are also not going to make it. It's going to be raining everyday next week. The winter has come."

ママ：「そしてこの秋地面で育ち始めたひまわりたちも、もう育たないだろうね。来週は、毎日雨が降るみたいだし。冬がやって来たわね。」

Sachi: "I still like to play in the backyard!"

さち：「わたち、しょれでも裏庭で遊びたいっ！」

Makana: "Ahh! You just stepped on me!"

マカナ：「ああ！　さっちゃん、ぼくの足踏んだ！」

Mommy: "The city created a lot of snow piles all over in Downtown yesterday. Childeren enjoyed snowball fights, and Santa Claus came down on a snow slide. A fun event for many people."

Mommy: "When I was reading this last night, you two were out in the backyard, and very quiet. I suddenly got very suspicious, and went outside myself. Then what do you think I saw?"

ママ：「昨夜これを読んでいるときに、ふたり、うちの裏庭にいてとても静かにしてたでしょ。突然とっても疑念が湧いてきて、お外に出たのよね。で、ママは、何を見たでしょう？」
