Sunflowers in winter? 〜冬のひまわり？〜

Mommy: "Mmm? Are these sunflowers? Why are they growing now?"

ママ：「んん？　これ、ひまわり？　なんで今育ってるの？」

Sachi: "The weeds have started to grow in the backyard. Are you sure they are sunflowers?"

さち：「裏庭に、雑草が育ってきてましゅよ。しょれ、本当にひまわりでしゅか？」

Makana: "Probably they are really sunflowers. The seeds must have dropped on the ground when the flowers were still there. After the rain and the sunlight, they probably started to grow there."

マカナ：「多分、本当にひまわりだよ。まだお花があったとき、きっと種が地面に落ちたんだね。雨が降って太陽が出て、多分そこで育ち始めたんだよ。」

Sachi: "Are they going to bloom here again?"

さち：「またここでお花が咲くでしゅか？」

Mommy: "They are unfortunately not going to make it through the winter. But we kept some seeds from the last sunflowers. We can let them grow next spring again."

ママ：「残念だけど、このひまわりは、冬を越せないわね。でも前回のひまわりから種を取ったから。また来年の春、育てられるわよ。」

Golden Ale this time 〜今回はゴールデンエール〜

Mommy: "Another beer brewing day at the restaurant space!"

ママ：「レストランのスペースで、またビール醸造デー！」

Daddy: "This is Golden Ale, which is one of fan favorites so far."

パパ：「これは、ゴールデンエール。これまで作った中で、ファンが大好きなビールの一つだよ。」

Daddy: "I'm glad we have a beer consultant. I like to make beer with him."

パパ：「ビールコンサルタントがいてくれてよかったよ。あの人とビールを造るの、好きなんだあ。」

Mommy: "He is a great man."

ママ：「素晴らしい人よね。」

Sachi: "I could help if daddy & mommy allow me to come over to the restaurant."

さち：「パパとママがレストランに来てもいいよって行ってくれたら、わたちだって手伝えるのに。」

Makana: "Sachi. Did you know you have to be in the car to go to the restaurant?"

マカナ：「さっちゃん。レストランに行くには、車に乗らなきゃ行けないってわかってる？」

A foggy and misty morning 〜霧と霧雨の朝〜

Mommy: "The grapes that were left on vines are now raisins. I wonder if the birds eat those."

ママ：「木に残されたぶどうが、レーズンになった。鳥さんたち、食べるのかしら。」

Mommy: "The grass is growing between the rows of vines. The rainy season has come."

ママ：「ぶどうの木々の列の間に、草が生えてきた。雨の季節がやってきたのね。」

Mommy: "Since it's foggy and misty today, I see the morning dew."

ママ：「今日は、霧が出て霧雨だから、朝露が見える。」

Makana: "I'm sorry for bothering you while you are enjoying, but can we go for a walk now?"

マカナ：「お楽しみのところ申し訳ないんだけど、そろそろお散歩に行かない？」

Sachi: "I can get a little treat before starting a walk."

さち：「お散歩を始める前に、ちょっとおやつなんていいかな。」

Mommy: "Let's go for a walk."

ママ：「お散歩、行こ。」

Cork ornaments 〜コルクのオーナメント〜

Mommy: "One of our club members wanted to get wine corks the other day, so we gave some to her. Yesterday, they came back to us as the adorable ornaments! Isn't it amazing how our clubmembers think of us for this Thanksgiving Day month? I hope they feel our love, too."

ママ：「うちのクラブメンバーさんのお一人が先日、ワインのコルクが欲しいっておっしゃったのよ。それでいくつかお分けしたのよね。そしたら昨日そのコルクが、かわいらしいオーナメントになって戻ってきて！　この感謝祭の月に、クラブメンバーさんが私たちのことを思ってくださるなんて、感動じゃない？　クラブメンバーの皆さんも、私たちが思ってるってことを感じてくださるといいわね。」

Sachi: "Those ornaments are horses, aren't they? I wanted them to be Golden Retrievers."

さち：「オーナメントって、馬でしゅよね？　わたち、ゴールデンレトリバーがよかった。」

Mommy: "You are still wagging the tail."

ママ：「それでも、さっちゃんのしっぽはブルンブルンするんだね。」

Bitcoin 〜ビットコイン〜

Mommy: "There was a new customer who visited our tasting room the other day. He said 'You are the only winery and the restaurant in this North County that accepts Bitcoin". 

I was very surprised I didn't know how I can process Bitcoin at first, but it was actually easy enough once I found out."

ママ：「こないだ、うちのテイスティングルームに新しいお客様が来られてね。その方がね、”この北部のカウンティで、ビットコインを使えるワイナリーかレストランは、ここだけなんですよ”っておっしゃられたのよ。最初、どうやってビットコインのお支払いを受け付ければいいのかわからなかったんだけど、理解してみたら、意外に簡単だったわ。」

Sachi: "I don't know what Bi Bi Bi Kon."

さち：「わたち、ビビビこんって知らない。」

Makana: "Bi Bi Bi Kon? That means 'Love at first sight and get married' in Japanese. Are you getting married, Sachi?"

マカナ：「ビビビ婚？　それって日本語で、”一目で好きになって結婚する”ってことだよ。さっちゃん、結婚するの？」

ママ：「こないだの月曜日は雨がちょこっと止んで、夜お出かけするのによかったのにね。」

Sachi: "It's not fun not being able to go for a walk."

さち：「お散歩に行けないの、楽ちくない。」

Makana: "Not really. But the ground will be softer to dig a hole thanks to the rain."

マカナ：「だね。でも雨のおかげで、地面は柔らかくなって穴掘りしやすくなるよ。」

Sachi: "That sounds like fun♪"

さち：「楽ちくなってきた♪」

Daddy: "The beer we are making today is brown ale with holiday seasonal spices. This can be ready to be released in a few weeks."

Mommy: "Until then, we can enjoy the new beer we are going to release tomorrow, right?"

ママ：「その時まで、明日リリースする新しいビールをエンジョイしましょうね。」

Sachi: "I don't know what the beer tastes like, but I'm happy when both mommy & daddy are at home."

さち：「はあ‥‥ 毎日雨。何か楽ちいこと、ないでしゅかね〜」

Mommy: "I don't know if this is fun, but I heard that Home Depot sells Golden Retrievers with holiday lights again this year. Isn't it exciting?"

ママ：「楽しいかどうかはわからないけれど、今年もHome Depot（ホームセンター）で、ホリデーライトが付いたゴールデンレトリバーが売られているんだって。なんかワクワクしない？」

Sachi: "Can they dig a hole with me?"

さち：「わたちと一緒に穴掘りちてくれるでしゅか？」

Mommy: "Well... Maybe in your dream."

ママ：「まあ‥‥ さっちゃんの夢の中でなら。」

Rehearsal Dinner 〜リハーサルディナー〜

 

Mommy: "Rehearsal Dinner for the sweet couple took place in our tasting room last night."

ママ：「ステキなカップルのリハーサルディナー（結婚式前日に行われるリハーサルの日にご家族や親しいお友だちと食べるディナー）が昨夜、うちのテイスティングルームで開催されたの。」

Mommy: "Family-style dinner, and the deliocious cakes duthing their memory photos were showing on our TV. The couple made a speach for their guests. They all are excited for the wedding today."

ママ：「ファミリースタイルのディナーや、テレビでお二人の記念写真をお見せしている間にお楽しみ頂いたおいしいケーキ。お二人は、ご招待客の皆様にスピーチしたりして。皆様、今日の結婚式にワクワクされてたわ。」

Sachi: "But it's raining today. I hope the wedding is not held outside."

さち：「でも今日は、雨でしゅよ。結婚式、お外じゃないといいでしゅけど。」

Mommy: "They had to make some changes. The wedding is now planned to be under the covered area. I'm sure they will always remember this special day, and talk about it in the future."

ママ：「色々変更することがあったみたい。結婚式は、屋根のあるところになったんだって。きっと、ずっとこの特別なことを覚えていて、将来この日のことを話すようになるわね。」

A little time off from the rains 〜雨の中休み〜

 

Mommy: "The rain stopped for now. The cows look wet, and the ground look like it grew more green."

ママ：「今のところ、雨が止んでるわね。牛たちは濡れちゃって、地面には、前より草が生えてきた。」

Makana: "I got wet when I went bathroom in the rain, but you wiped off with the towel. Did you wipe off cows, too?"

マカナ：「ぼくも雨の中トイレに行って濡れちゃったけど、ママにタオルで拭かれちゃった。牛さんたちのことは、拭かなかったの？」

Mommy: "If I try to do it, they will probably hate me."

ママ：「それをやろうとしたら、嫌われちゃうかも。」

A quick preparation before a storm 〜嵐の前のちゃちゃっと準備〜

Makana: "It's going to be raining today, I heard."

マカナ：「今日は、雨になるんだってね。」

Mommy: "Yes. It's getting very windy. I put the cushion down on the outside futniture, put the weight on the empty pots, and covered well on the firepit. I'm hoping nothing gets blown away."

ママ：「うん。風がとっても強くなってきた。お外の家具のクッションも倒したし、空っぽの鉢植えに重しを置いたし、屋外用ファイヤーピットにもカバーしたし。何も吹き飛ばされないといいけど。」
