Relish tastes similar to Japanese sweet pickles!? 〜レリッシュは、日本の 甘酢漬けと味が似ている！？〜

Yesterday　昨日

Mommy: "Cucumbers and onions are chopped finely."

ママ：「きゅうりと玉ねぎ、細かく切れた。」

Mommy: "Let's leave them mixed with a little amount of salt in the fridge for three hours."

ママ：「少量のお塩と混ぜて、冷蔵庫で３時間置いておこう。」

Kona: "Relish is not for doggies."

コナ：「レリッシュは、犬用じゃないな。」

Ehime: "Relish is the topping for a hotdog and a hamburger, right? Why do people like the vinegary stuff?"

えひめ：「レリッシュって、ホットドッグとかハンバーガーのトッピングにしゅるあれでしょう？人間って、どうちてお酢のものが好きなんでしゅかね〜」

3 hours later　３時間後

Mommy: "After squeezing the cucumbers & onions, it became only a handful." 

ママ：「きゅうりと玉ねぎをしぼったら、たった一握りほどになってしまった。」

Mommy: "Let's put the veggies in the mixture of vinegar, sugar and salt."

ママ：「お野菜を、お酢とお砂糖とお塩の中に入れよう。」

Mommy: "Normally there are dogs in the kitchen, but I guess they don't like the smell of the vinegar."

ママ：「いつもなら犬たちはキッチンにいるのに、やっぱりお酢のにおいがイヤなのかしらね〜」

Mommy: "Let's see... I guess I need to cook a little longer."

ママ：「そうね‥‥　もうちょっとだけ火にかけておこう。」

Mommy: "Mmm? Did you come to the kitchen, Ehime?"

ママ：「ん？ひめたん、キッチンに来たの？」

Ehime: "Of course."

えひめ：「もちろんでしゅよ。」

Ehime: "When the glass jar is coming out from the shelf, it normally means that you or daddy are getting the ice cubes."

えひめ：「だって、グラスのジャーが棚から出てくるときは、たいていママかパパが、氷を出すときでしゅから。」

Mommy: "Not today. I'm putting relish in it. But I can give you an ice cube if you want."

ママ：「今日は違うの。レリッシュを入れるから。でも欲しかったら、氷ひとつ、あげるよ。」

Mommy: "Relish is done♪ I think we are going to have this with the grilled veggies & the sausages that our neighbor made for dinner tonight."

ママ：「レリッシュ、完成♪　今夜はこれと、グリルド野菜＆ご近所さんが作ったソーセージを晩ごはんにして食べよう。」

Kona: "Can we go play outside now?"

コナ：「お外で遊んでもいい？」

Mommy: "OK. Let's go."

ママ：「そうね。行こう。」

Ehime: "He he he♪ I'm playing with brother Kahlua."

えひめ：「で〜へ〜へ〜♪　カルアにいと遊んでましゅよ〜」

Kahlua: "Put your butt down, too!"

カルア：「おしりも下ろして！」

Ehime: "Oh, mommy."

えひめ：「あっ、ママ。」

Kahlua: "She has been there for five minutes."

カルア：「もう５分も前からあそこにいるけど？」

Ehime: "Mommyyyyyy!!!!"

えひめ：「ママ〜〜〜〜！！！」

Mommy: "Wow, Ehime!!! You know how to stop, don't you!!??"

ママ：「わあ、ひめたん！！！止まり方、知ってるよね！！？？」

Ehime: "Yaaaaaaaa!!!"

えひめ：「やあああああ！！！」

Kona: "Yaaaaaaaa!!!"

えひめ：「やあああああ！！！」

Mommy: "Why do you Goldens always get so dirty?"

ママ：「どうしてゴールデンズは、いつもそんなにドロドロになるのかしらね〜？」

Kona: "Thank you for washing me."

コナ：「洗ってくれて、ありがと。」

Daddy: "Relish is a little sweeter than the store-bought bottle of relish. This goes well with the spicy sausage. I like it♪"

パパ：「レリッシュは、お店で買うボトルのレリッシュより甘めだな。これ、スパイシーなソーセージとよく合うよ。気に入った♪」

Mommy: "I'm glad you like it."

ママ：「気に入ってくれて、よかったわ〜」

Today　今日

Mommy: "Using the leftovers, I made sushi for lunch. Salmon sushi has green shiso leaves from our vegetable garden, and the sausage sushi has a little bit of relish in it."

ママ：「残り物を使って、ランチにお寿司を作ったよ。サーモンのお寿司は、我が家の畑で収穫した青しそが入っていて、ソーセージのお寿司はちょっとだけレリッシュも入ってるの。」

Daddy: "I wonder if you are going to make peanut butter & jelly sushi in the future."

パパ：「ママ、そのうち、ピーナッツバター＆ジェリーのお寿司とかも作るようになるのかな。」

Kona: "While you two are eating lunch, I'll be taking nap with Kahlua♪"

コナ：「パパたちがランチを食べている間、ぼく、カルアくんとお昼寝してるね♪」
