It's the chicken who wants to be a mother. 〜母親になりたいにわとり〜

Day: "My name is Day. I've been a broody hen these days."

デイ：「私の名前はデイ。最近ブルーディめんどりやってます。」

Day: "You don't know what a broody hen is? I'll teach you. A broody hen stays in the nesting box without laying eggs and tries to hatch the imaginary eggs. In other words, it's the chicken who wants to be a mother and raise children."

デイ：「ブルーディめんどりが何か知らないですって？教えてあげるわ。ブルーディめんどりというのは、卵を産まないのに産卵箱を陣取って、想像の卵をかえらせようとするめんどりのことよ。つまり、母親になって子供を育てたいにわとりのことね。」

Day: "I decided my nesting box is this one in the middle. Tiv(e) and Holi say that I'm in their way by staying in the box all day long, but I don't listen."

デイ：「私の産箱は真ん中のここって、私が勝手に決めたの。ティブとホリは、一日中私が箱に入ったままで邪魔だって言うけれど、私はふたりの言うことを聞かないのよ。」

Day: "Mmm? The right box has one egg. Guessing from the size of a egg, that must be the one that Tiv(e) laid. She is a hard-worker and she lays an egg almost every day."

デイ：「ん？右側の産箱に、卵がひとつある。サイズからして、きっとティブが産んだ卵ね。あの子は働き者で、毎日のように卵を産むのよね〜」

Day: "I, as a broody hen would like to stay in the box even when the door opens. But I'm normally taken out from the box and told that I need to to be in the sun with other chickens. So, I often try to bother humans like this. See? Now the water bucket cannot be washed because I'm on top of it♪" 

デイ：「ブルーディめんどりの私としては、ドアが開いても箱に残っていたいんだけれど、たいていは無理やり外に出されて、他のにわとりたちと太陽の下にいなさいって言われるの。だからね、よくこうやって人間の邪魔をするのよ。ほらね？私が乗ってるから、お水のバケツ、洗えないでしょう♪」

Day: "I often get on people, too. But sometimes it works out differently than I expected. 

デイ：「よく人の上にも乗ってやるんだけれど、ときどきアテが外れちゃうのよね〜」

Mommy: "Let's take a selfie, Day♪ Come closer."

ママ：「デイ、一緒にセルフィー撮ろう♪　近くに寄って。」

Day: "Like this?"

デイ：「こう？」

Mommy: "That's right. Say, cheese♪"

ママ：「そうそう。はい、チーズ♪」

Day: "Other chickens peck the ground and eat the weeds. Aren't they like Golden Retrievers?"

デイ：「他のにわとりたちは、地面をつついたり、雑草を食べたりするの。なんだかゴールデンレトリバーみたいじゃない？」

Day: "I prefer to stay in an area where I can watch them. That's what mommies do, right?"

デイ：「私は、みんなを見守れるところにいるほうがいいわ。だって、母親ってそういうものでしょ？」

Day: "Oh, that's right. We have little ones in this chicken village. I think they are almost four months old."

デイ：「ああ、そうそう。このにわとり村には、小さな子たちがいるのよ。生まれてから、そろそろ４ヶ月になるんじゃないかしら。」

Chick A: "Where are the Monster chickens now?"

ひよこA：「モンスターにわとりは、どこ？」

Chick B: "Somewhere around the water. We are safe under the bench."

ひよこB：「お水のところよ。私たちは、ベンチの下にいれば安心だわ。」

Day: "Well, I think it's time for me to go back to the nesting box. Hey, doggies. Can you take over now?"

デイ：「じゃあ、そろそろ産箱に戻る時間だから。犬さんたち〜、お返ししま〜す。」

At home　おうち

Kahlua: "Umm... I'm still sleepy..."

カルア：「えっと‥‥　ぼく、まだ眠いんだけど‥‥」

Mommy: "I have the thing to return to Amazon. Let's go to UPS."

ママ：「ママ、アマゾンに返品するものがあるから、一緒にUPS（宅配会社）に行こう。」

Kona: "I love to go out by car♪"

コナ：「ぼく、車でのお出かけ、大好き♪」

Ehime: "Is this UPS?"

えひめ：「ここ、UPSでしゅか？」

Mommy: "No. We are filling our stomach first♪"

ママ：「ううん。最初におなかを満たそうと思ってね♪」

Ehime: "Then, I'm taking a nap."

えひめ：「じゃあ、わたちはお昼寝ちましゅから。」

Kona: "Www, you are heavy, Ehime."

コナ：「ううう、ひめたん、重い。」
