My country living 〜私のいなか暮らし〜

Daddy: "Our morning walk is done. Let's go home."

パパ：「朝のお散歩、終わり。さあ、帰ろう。」

Kahlua: "Thank you for getting me in the car."

カルア：「車に乗せてくれてありがと。」

Daddy: "Look. We got a guy to come over to smooth the unpaved road."

パパ：「見て。舗装されていない道をスムーズにするための人が来てくれたよ。」

Mommy: "How country! I've never thought of this when I was living in the city."

ママ：「いなかなのね〜 町に住んでいたときは、こういうこと考えたこともなかった。」

Country living is fun. But there are a few difficult things for me. One is that I don't get to see (and talk with) many people. The other one is that I can't get Japanese food and ingredients. My husband and I went grocery shopping yesterday. We went through a few different stores, but we couldn't find Miso and rice crackers that I love.

いなか暮らしはおもしろいです。でも少し難しいなと感じることもあります。ひとつは、人に会わない（そして話しをすることがない）ということ。もうひとつは、日本食や日本食を作るための材料が手に入らないということです。主人と私は昨日、食料の買い出しに行きました。いくつかお店を回りましたが、私が大好きなお味噌やあられを見つけることはできませんでした。

Kona: "Are you sure you want to do this, mommy?"

コナ：「ママ、本当にやるつもり？」

Mommy: "Yes, I am."

ママ：「やる。」

Ehime: "It's going to take a long time and you are going to have so many things to wash later."

えひめ：「時間もかかるち、あとで洗い物がたくさん出るのに。」

Ehime: "Are you sure you want to do this?"

えひめ：「本当にやるでしゅか？」

Mommy: "Yes, I am."

ママ：「やる。」

Kahlua: "Are you going to share with us when you made it well?"

カルア：「上手にできたら、ぼくたちにもくれる？」

Mommy: "Of course."

ママ：「もちろん。」

Kona: "Then, I'm going to wait here."

コナ：「じゃあ、ぼく、ここで待ってるね。」

Currently, I only have two hands-size cooking places in the living room. I've been cooking American and Mexican a lot since they are easier to cook in the small space, but this is my limitation. I couldn't wait for rice any more! 

現在お料理する場所は、リビングルームに手をふたつ広げたくらいのスペースしかありません。小さなスペースでも調理がしやすいアメリカ料理やメキシコ料理を作ってきましたが、もう限界です。これ以上、ごはんを待つことができません！

Mommy: "I did it! I actually made nice grilled marks on the salmon, didn't I? Now I'm going to mix it into rice♪"

ママ：「できた！いい感じでサーモンにグリルのマーク、ついたんじゃない？さあ、ごはんにサーモンを混ぜるわよ♪」

Daddy: "Mmm, this is nice! Is your tummy OK, honey? You've been eating a lot."

パパ：「ん〜、これ、いいね〜！ママ、おなか大丈夫？たくさん食べてるけど。」

Mommy: "I can't stop eating it!"

ママ：「もう、止まらな〜い！」

As Ehime expected, we had a lot of things to wash after cooking. But my husband cooperated with me and helped wash.

えひめが予想した通り、調理後の洗い物はたくさんありました。でも主人が協力してくれて、洗うのを手伝ってくれました。

Kahlua: "OK. No cats in the yard today."

カルア：「よし。今日はお庭にネコはいないな。」

Ehime: "Yaaaaaaa!!!!!"

えひめ：「やああああ！！！！！」

Kona: "Taaaaaa!!!!!"

コナ：「たああああああ！！！！！」

Kona: "Wait, Ehime!"

コナ：「ひめたん、待て〜！」

Ehime: "Come catch me!"

えひめ：「捕まえに来てくだしゃ〜い！」

They got in the mud together and I had to wash them after this. My country living is going on.

ふたりで泥遊びとなり、このあとふたりを洗うことになりました。私のいなか暮らしはまだまだ続きます。
