Green day 〜みどりな日〜

I cleaned the chicken coop and closed its doors at 10:30am. We went farmer's market in the morning, went out for some errands this afternoon and came back home around 6:45pm. Guess what we saw then. All chickens were out in the bush in front of the house!!! I guess I didn't lock the door of the chicken coop and the door opened somehow. How stupid of me... My husband didn't blame me at all. Instead, he said "Chickens had a great day today." I'll be more careful from tomorrow on...

にわとり小屋を掃除して、ドアを閉めたのが午前10時半。朝はファーマーズマーケットに行き、午後は用事を済ませに行き、帰ってきたのが午後6時45分。その時、何を見たと思いますか。なんと、にわとりさんたち全員が、家の前の草むらにいたのです！どうやらにわとり小屋のドアの鍵をかけ忘れていたようで、何かの拍子にドアが開いたようです。なんて私はおバカなんでしょう‥‥　主人は私のことをまったく責めませんでした。その代わりに、「にわとりたち、今日はいい日を過ごしたね〜」と言ってくれました。明日からは、もっと気をつけたいと思います‥‥

In the morning　朝

Ehime: "Where did daddy go?"

えひめ：「パパ、どこに行ったでしゅか？」

Kona: "Don't we need to go, too?"

コナ：「ぼくたちも行ったほうがいいかな？」

Mommy: "He went to ask about the vineyard to the neighbor. Let's wait here until he comes back."

ママ：「パパね、ぶどう園のことでご近所さんに質問に行ったのよ。パパが帰ってくるまで、ここで待ってようね。」

We normally go to the farmer's market Saturday morning. The vendors now greet us saying "Oh, it's you!" "See you next week!". I feel like we are becoming local.(#^_^#)

土曜日の朝は、たいていファーマーズマーケットに行きます。お店の人たちは最近、「ああ、君だね！」「また来週ね〜」と言ってあいさつしてくれます。だんだん地元人になってきているような気がします。(#^_^#)

Mommy: "I'm happy we were able to get Japanese plant, Mizuna at the farmer's market♪"

ママ：「ファーマーズマーケットで、水菜が買えてとってもうれしい〜♪」

Daddy: "I'm happy for you♪"

パパ：「よかったね〜♪」

Mommy: "I hope that basil grows well here."

ママ：「バジル、ここでよく育ちますように。」

Daddy: "Are you going to make pesto pasta for me?"

パパ：「ぼくに、ジェノベーゼのパスタを作ってくれる？」

Kona: "Something smells good♪"

コマ：「なんかいいにおいがする♪」

Mommy: "It looks like the lettuce is settling well."

ママ：「レタス、落ち着いてきているみたいね〜」

Kahlua: "Are you going to plant Mizuna and basil now?"

カルア：「水菜とバジル、今から植えるの？」

Mommy: "Should I?"

ママ：「そうしようかな？」

Ehime: "Something smells good..."

えひめ：「なんかいいにおいが‥‥」

Mommy: "Don't eat the organic soil, Ehime!"

ママ：「ひめたん、オーガニックの土、食べないよ！」

Daddy: "Oh, this will be a great picture. Say gardeniiiiing♪ OK. One more time！"

ママ：「ああ、これはいい写真になるな。はい、ガーデニーーーング♪　もう一回！」
