Mommy: "I used orange slices in the fresh fennel salad. These orange leftovers are from making Zinfandel cranberry sauce."

ママ：「新鮮なフェンネルサラダに、オレンジのスライスを使ったのよ。このオレンジは、ジンファンデル・クランベリーソースを作ったときの残り物よ。」

Daddy: "Mmm! This fennel salad is tasty."

パパ：「んん！　このフェンネルのサラダ、おいしい。」

Mommy: "Right? We've never used fennel before. If we knew how delicious this vegetable is, we would start to use it a long time ago."

ママ：「でしょ？　今までフェンネルなんて使ったことなかったけどね。このお野菜がこんなにおいしいって知ってたら、ずっと前に使い始めてたわ。」

Sachi: "Huh, they are talking about the thing that we cannot eat again."

さち：「はあ、またわたちたちが食べられないものの話をちてる。」

Makana: "Who knows. I heard the vegetable is in the same group of carrots."

マカナ：「わからないよ。ニンジンと同じグループだって聞いたし。」

Sachi: "What!? Really?❤︎"

さち：「えっ！？　ホントに？❤︎」

An annual fall event 〜毎年恒例、秋の行事〜

 

Mommy: "Let's make our annual Zinfandel cranberry sauce♪"

ママ：「我が家恒例、ジンファンデル・グランベリーソースを作ろう♪」

Mommy: "Isn't this amazing? We use a whole bottle of Zinfandel."

ママ：「これ、すごくない？　ジンファンデルのボトルをまるまる一本使うなんて。」

Sachi: Ahh! Why do you bite me?"

さち：「あああ！　なんでわたちを噛むでしゅか？」

Makana: "Because you tried to eat my leg!"

マカナ：「さっちゃんが、ぼくの足を食べようとするからでしょ！」

Mommy: "Hey. The dust might be blown up in the air. If you want to wrestle, please move to the family room."

ママ：「ちょっとぉ。埃がたつでしょ。レスリングやるなら、ファミリールームに行ってよね。」

Mommy: "Its done! Let's arrange it for the photo. This is pretty good, don't you think?"

ママ：「できた！　写真用にアレンジしようっと。これ、結構いいわね。そう思わない？」

Makana: "Daddy, can you give me chu-chu?"

マカナ：「パパ。ぼくにチュッチュしてくれない？」

Daddy: "I can bite your ears instead. (bite)"

パパ：「代わりに耳を噛んであげよう。（カプッ）」

Sachi: "Ahhh! You two are too close! I want to be in the middle!"

さち：「あああ！　ふたり、近しゅぎ！　わたち、間に入りたい！」

Makana: "You go the second!"

マカナ：「さっちゃんは、二番！」

Sachi: "I want the first!"

さち：「わたち、一番がいい！」

Mommy: "Huh... Is anyone listening to me talking about cranberry sauce?"

ママ：「はあ‥‥ ママのクランベリーソースの話し、誰か聞いてるひといないの？」

With the chill of autumn 〜秋の寒空に〜

Daddy: "Look. The temperature went down last night. We have the frost at the bottom of the hill."

パパ：「見て。昨夜気温が下がったからね。丘のふもとに霜が降りたよ。」

Mommy: "I thought it was cold."

 

ママ：「寒いと思ったわ。」

Mommy: "The vines look very autumn-like."

ママ：「ぶどうの木たち、すっかり秋の様子だわね。」

Makana: "Mommy! Welcome back home!"

マカナ：「ママ〜！　おかえり〜！」

Sachi: "Wait, wait!"

さち：「待て、待て〜！」

Sachi: "I got you♪"

さち：「捕まえた〜♪」

Makana: "He he. (rolling over)"

マカナ：「えへへ。（ゴロゴロ）」

Mommy: "Aww... This is why I wash them so often."

ママ：「あうう‥‥ これだから、ふたりをよく洗うのよね。」

ケン：「そう？」

Sachi: "What about my profile? Does it look like mommy's?"

Mommy: "Well, You were not born from me, but you have a beautiful profile taking after your biological parents."

ママ：「えっと、ママからは生まれてないけれど、さっちゃんの生物学上のご両親から受け継いだ横顔はきれいよ。」

Makana: "Me, too... Zzzz...."

マカナ：「ぼくだって‥‥  Zzzz....」

Mommy: "Mm? Are you asleep, Ma-kun?"

ママ：「んん？　マーくん、寝てる？」

Memory 〜思い出〜

 

Have I said that I'm writing a blog for the winery? The latest story was about November, 2018. It was my saddest Thanksgiving Day in my life. I miss Kahlua so much.

Missing seeing a chicken 〜にわとりさんに会えなくてさびしい〜

 

Mommy: "A season of grapes has gone, and a lemon season is almost here."

ママ：「ぶどうのシーズンが終わり、もうすぐレモンのシーズンがやって来る。」

Mommy: "It looks like it's going to be the great season of lemon for us this year."

ママ：「今年は我が家、いいレモンの年になりそうだわね〜」

Sachi: "Oh, that was you. I thought it was a chicken is coming toward this way."

さち：「なんだ、ママでちたか。にわとりしゃんが、こっちの方にやって来たのかと思った。」

Mommy: "I was looking at lemons."

ママ：「レモンを見てたのよ。」

Sachi: "We've been sitting here and waiting for a chicken to come this direction. For some reason, she hasn't showed up."

さち：「わたちたち、ここに座ってにわとりしゃんがこっちの方向に来るのを待ってるんでしゅけどね。なぜか現れないんでしゅよ。」

Mommy: "That's because you've been there."

ママ：「それは、ふたりがそこにいるからよ。」

Sachi: "?"

さち：「？」

Mommy: "These Wine Dark Truffles are special-made with our Zinfandel. See, guys. Isn't it romantic?"

ママ：「このワインダークトリュフは、うちのジンファンデルで作られたのよ。ねえ、見て。ロマンチックじゃない？」

Sachi: "Ahhhh!!! Stop it!!!"

さち：「ああああ！！！　やめて〜！！！」

Makana: "No!"

マカナ：「やだね〜！」

Makana: "I know you like this. (bite)"

マカナ：「これ、さっちゃん、好きでしょ。（カプッ）」

Sachi: "Kyaaaaaaa!!!! Fu fu♪"
