A little belated 〜遅ればせながら〜

 

A little belated, but thank you so much to my friends in Japan who sent us new year's cards. In the daily life that we work for more than 12 hours, it was a little challenging getting Christmas cards ready and going to the post office in town at the end of the last year. So I apologize, but I was unable to send Christmas cards to anyone last year. 

遅ればせながら、年賀状を送ってくださった日本のお友だちの皆様、本当にありがとうございます。1日12時間以上仕事をするという日常生活の中、昨年末、クリスマスカードを用意して町の郵便局に行くということが、少し大変でした。大変申し訳ないのですが、昨年は、どなたにもクリスマスカードを送りすることができませんでした。

To be honest with you, it has been difficult for us to have our private time since we opened the restaurant last summer. If I try to put my feelings into words, it feels like watching the scary drama right before the bed time every night. We've been pushing ourselves hard (probably harder than our capacity) to run this business, and thankfully, it looks like it has been working well from time to time.

正直に言うと、昨年の夏にレストランをオープンして以来、自分たちのプライベートの時間を持つのが難しいです。自分の気持ちを言葉にするなら、それは、毎晩寝る前に怖いドラマを見ているような感じです。私たちは（多分自分たちのキャパシティ以上に）プッシュして、このビジネスをがんばっています。そしてありがたいことに、たまにはその効果が出ているようです。

I know I haven't contacted enough to keep friendship with my treasure friends recently, and it hurts me from time to time. I really appreciate those who don't give up on me, and contact me every year. Thank you so much.

最近、宝物だと思うお友だちとのフレンドシップのを大切にしたいと思うほど連絡をしていない自分に対し、ときどき痛みを覚えます。私をあきらめないで、毎年連絡を下さる皆様、本当にありがとうございます。
