Pear crisp to feel fall 〜秋を感じるペアクリスプ〜

Mommy: "I used the oats and the reduced organic sugar for toppings in addition to the regular ingredients. Let's put them on top of the sliced pears, and bake the pear crisp in the mini oven♪"

ママ：「通常の材料に加えて、オート麦や減らしたオーガニック砂糖をトッピングに使ったのよね。さあ、スライスした洋梨の上に乗せて、ミニオーブンでペアクリスプを焼こう♪」

Mommy: "Oops. I thought the mini oven is already warm, but I forgot to plug in..."

ママ：「おっと。ミニオーブンを温めたと思ったけれど、プラグを差し込むのを忘れてた‥‥」

Kahlua: "Our mommy is sometimes careless."

カルア：「ママ、時々おっちょこちょいやるんだよね〜」 

Ehime: "Awww... When is our dinner coming out?"

えひめ：「あううう‥‥　いつになったら、わたちたちの晩ごはんは出てくるでしゅか？」

Kona: "I'm not sure. Should we take a nap here?"

コナ：「さあ。ここでお昼寝でもしておく？」

After dinner　晩ごはんの後

Mommy: "Darling, I made the pear crisp this evening. Would you like to eat some?"

ママ：「パパ。今日の夕方、ペアクリスプを作ったの。食べる？」

Daddy: "Yes, of course! I thought the kitchen smells like a pastry."

パパ：「うん、もちろん！どうりでキッチンが、ペイストリーの香りがすると思った。」

Mommy: "It looks like pears are soft and the toppings are crispy. Nice!"

ママ：「洋梨は柔らかくて、トッピングはカリカリな感じ。よかった！」

Kona: "I prefer the crispy edge of French Baguette"

コナ：「ぼくは、カリカリのフレンチバゲットの端っこの方がいいな。」 

Kahlua: "I don't mind if you serve me just sliced pears."

カルア：「ぼくは、ただスライスしただけの洋梨でも全然かまわないけど。」

Wine cork crafts 〜ワインコルクのクラフト〜

Ehime: "What? Wine cork crafts?"

えひめ：「えっ？ワインコルクのクラフト？」

Mommy: "Yes."

ママ：「うん。」

Mommy: "And also, I found my pliers that I used to use for jewelry making in Hawaii. So I can make an easy wire paper stand to attach on the wine cork crafts."

ママ：「それにね、ハワイでジュエリーを作ってたときのプライヤーを見つけたの。これで、ワインコルクのクラフトに付ける簡単なワイヤー・ペーパースタンドも作れるしね。」

Mommy: "First, let's see how I should arrange the wine corks in the coaster box."

ママ：「まずは、どうやってコースターの箱にワインコルクをアレンジするかだわね。」

Mommy: "Hmm... Is this too simple? But I like it. What do you think, Kahlua?"

ママ：「うーん‥‥　これ、シンプルすぎるかしら？でも気に入ったわ。カルアくん、どう思う？」

Kahlua: "Zzzz...."

カルア：「Zzzz....」

Mommy: "I happened to see that daddy left the wires on the counter. I'm not sure what this is for, but let's use it. Is this spiral OK to hold the paper?"

ママ：「たまたまパパが、カウンターの上にワイヤーを置いて行ったのがあるのよね。何用なのか知らないけれど、使っちゃおうっと。紙を支えるうずまき、これで大丈夫かしら？」

Ehime: "I'm not sure."

えひめ：「知らなーい。」

Mommy: "Now this is real. Let's put glue on the cork with the hot glue gun."

ママ：「さあ、本番。ホットグルーガンで、コルクにのり付けしよう。」

Mommy: "Carefully, carefully."

ママ：「慎重に、慎重に。」

Mommy: "Yay! It's done♪ I can attach the paper like this to the wire stand. Maybe I'm going to use it for the holiday sales at the wine-tasting."

ママ：「イエーイ！できた♪　こうやって、ワイヤーのスタンドに、紙もつけられるしね。ワインテイスティングのホリデーセールとかに使うかも〜」

Ehime: "So, is that the wine cork that you were using for your crafts?"

えひめ：「で、しょれが、ママがクラフトに使ってたワインコルク？」

Mommy: "That's right. It's Kula Vineyards & Winery's. Please advertise, Ehime♪"

ママ：「そうよ。クラぶどう園＆ワイナリーのものよ。ひめたん、宣伝して♪」

Ehime: "......"

えひめ：「‥‥」

Ehime: "No way!"

えひめ：「やだーっ！」

It's a foggy morning. 〜霧の朝だよ〜

Mommy: "The temperature went down a lot this morning. That brought the fog to the vineyard."

ママ：「今朝は気温がぐっと下がったからね。ぶどう園に、霧が入ってきた。」

Ehime: "How are the grapes doing?."

えひめ：「ぶどうは大丈夫でしゅか？」

Mommy: "They are doing well. It will be sunny later today. Their sugar level will go up then."

ママ：「うん、元気よ。今日は後でお天気になるからね。そしたら糖度が上がるわよ。」

Kahlua: "I kind of like a chilly morning. I feel good today."

カルア：「冷えた朝ってなんか好き。今日はぼく、気分がいいよ。」

Kona: "......"

コナ：「‥‥」

Kona: "Last night, Kahlua fell asleep by showing me his butt..."

コナ：「昨日の夜はカルアくん、ぼくにおしりを向けて寝たんだよね‥‥」

Mommy: "I guess Kahlua was comfortable laying down with you."

ママ：「カルアくん、きっとコナくんと一緒に横になるのが心地よかったんだろうね。」

We lost the power. 〜停電しました〜

Mommy: "Happyyyyyy♪"

ママ：「ハッピーちゃ〜〜〜ん♪」

Happy: "Yeeeeeees♪"

ハッピー：「は〜〜〜い♪」

Daddy: "Oh, my gosh. They are running toward us."

パパ：「わあ、すごいな。みんなこっちに向かって走ってきてる。」

Daddy: "What a speed."

パパ：「なんてスピードだ。」

Mommy: "This is the power of the food."

ママ：「これが、食べ物の力ね。」

Daddy: "And Serene & Sunny are synchronizing the move."

パパ：「そしてセリーンとサニー、動きがシンクロしてるよ。」

Serene & Sunny: "One, two, one, two♪"

セリーン＆サニー：「えっほ、えっほ♪」

Mommy: "Cute♪"

ママ：「かわいい♪」

When we were cooking dinner at night yesterday, we lost the power. We thought it would come back quickly, but even one hour later, we didn't get the power back.

昨日の夜、夕食の支度をしている時、停電になりました。私たちはすぐ電気は戻ってくると思っていたのですが、1時間経ってもまだ戻ってきませんでした。

Daddy: "It looks like there are many people who lost the power tonight according to the power company website."

パパ：「電力会社のウェブサイトによると、今夜たくさんの人が電力を失っているみたいだ。」

Mommy: "We have enough candles to walk around in the house, so we are fine. Where are the dogs?"

ママ：「家の中を歩くためのろうそくは十分あるから、うちは大丈夫よ。犬たちはどこかしら？」

Ehime: "I'm here."

えひめ：「わたち、ここでしゅよ。」

Kona: "I'm here. Kahlua is with me."

コナ：「ぼくは、ここ。カルアくんと一緒だよ。」

Mommy: "That's good."

ママ：「それは、よかった。」

It took more than two hours to get the power back, but we did get it back. Phew...

電力が回復するまで2時間以上かかりましたが、ちゃんと戻ってきました。ふう‥‥

Today　今日

Ehime: "Mommy stepped on my tail last night."

えひめ：「昨日の夜、ママがわたちのしっぽを踏んだ。」

Mommy: "I'm sorry. I didn't see you were laying down in the middle of the floor in the dark."

ママ：「ごめんね。暗かったから、ひめたんが床のど真ん中で寝転がってるのが見えなかったのよ。」

Kahlua: "I felt a little warm, because the air-conditioner was not working."

カルア：「ぼくは、ちょっと暑かったな。エアコンが効いてなかったから。」

Kona: "That's right."

コナ：「そうだよね〜」

Kona: "I went to the bedroom and laid down under the open window, so I could feel a little breeze from outside. But I normally enjoy the air-conditioner more."

コナ：「ぼくはベッドルームに行って、開いてる窓の下で寝転がったんだよ。外からのそよ風をちょっと感じることができたからね。でも通常は、エアコンの方が好きなの。」

The thing that my husband bought for me 〜主人が買ってくれたもの〜

Kahlua: "Wow. You bought a lot of things at Costco."

カルア：「わあ。コストコで、たくさん買ってきたんだね〜」

Mommy: "Yes. Smoked salmon, organic ground beef, Greek yogurt, Peet's coffee, organic carrot and more things."

ママ：「うん。スモークサーモン、オーガニックの牛ひき肉、ギリシャヨーグルト、ピーツコーヒー豆、オーガニックのニンジン、それから他のものも。」

Mommy: "But the thing that made me happy was the flower bouquet. Daddy bought it for me."

ママ：「でもママが一番喜んだのは、お花のブーケ。パパが買ってくれたの。」

Kona: "It's not your birthday, is it? Why did he buy you beautiful flowers?"

コナ：「ママのお誕生日でもないのに？なんでパパ、きれいなお花を買ってくれたの？」

Mommy: "Why? Why...? I wonder why..."

ママ：「なんで？なんでって‥‥　なんでかしら‥‥」
