Bug bites 〜虫刺され〜

Yesterday　昨日

Serene: "Mother is eating my treat again."

セリーン：「母さん、またぼくのおやつを食べてる。」

Serene: "Could you do me a favor? Can you tell my mother to stop eating my treat?"

セリーン：「お願いがあるんだけど。母さんに、ぼくのおやつを食べるのはやめてって言ってくれない？」

Happy's foster mommy: "Well, you are a six-month old boy now. Why don't you tell her yourself?"

ハッピーの里親ママさん：「そうね。でもセリーンはもう、生まれて６ヶ月の男の子でしょう？自分で母さんに言ったら？」

Happy: "What? Are you two talking about me?"

ハッピー：「なに？ふたりで私のことを話してる？」

Happy's foster mommy: "Serene said he has something to tell you."

ハッピーの里親ママさん：「セリーンがね、ハッピーに話しがあるんだって。」

Serene: "Umm... Well..."

セリーン：「あの‥‥　その‥‥」

Happy: "What?"

ハッピー：「なに？」

Serene: "It.... It's nice weather today, isn't it!"

セリーン：「きょ‥‥　今日はいいお天気だね！」

Happy: "?"

ハッピー：「？」

Today　今日

How long does it take for you to get better after a bug bite? My skin reaction for a bug bite is  normally very ugly. It takes one week to get the swelling down, and it sometimes takes a few months until the itchiness goes away. 

虫刺されのあと、みなさんはどれくらいで良くなりますか？虫刺されに対する私のお肌の反応は、たいてい本当に醜いものです。腫れが引くまで一週間、ときには、かゆみがなくなるまで数ヶ月かかることもあります。

Yesterday, I got a few bug bites at cows. Look at how swollen they are...

昨日、牛たちのところで数ヶ所虫に刺されました。見てください、この腫れ‥‥

Mommy: "Oh, no... My left ear is pretty red."

ママ：「あら、やだ‥‥　左の耳が、結構赤くなってる。」

Kahlua: "Mommy's ear is like a vampire's ear."

カルア：「ママのお耳、ドラキュラのお耳みたい。」

Mommy: "My arm is getting red, too. It wasn't like this yesterday."

ママ：「腕も赤くなってきてる。昨日は、こんな感じじゃなかったのに。」

Mommy: "They are pretty itchy. Let's put some Cortizone on the skin, and take a tablet to relieve the itchiness."

ママ：「かなりかゆみも強いから、お肌にはコーティゾンを塗って、かゆみを和らげるタブレットも飲んでおこう。」

Kahlua: "If you are not feeling well, maybe we should chew bones at home instead of going for a walk today? (smile)"

カルア：「ママの調子がよくないなら、今日はお散歩の代わりに、家でカミカミするとか？（ニコッ）」

Ehime: "I prefer to go for a walk."

えひめ：「わたち、お散歩のほうがいい。」

Mommy: "We can go for a walk. The medications will work soon. Also, I'm going to spray my body to prevent bugs."

ママ：「お散歩に行けるよ。お薬の効果が、すぐに現れるはずだから。それにママ、体に虫除けスプレーを降るし。」

Kona: "Spray?"

コナ：「スプレー？」

Mommy: "This one."

ママ：「これよ。」

A few hours later　数時間後

Mommy: "Oh, no. The red area spread."

ママ：「あら、やだ。赤いところが広がった。」

Kona: "Getting an allergy reaction is not fun. I know what that feels like."

コナ：「アレルギー反応って、楽しいものじゃないよね。ぼくは、よくわかるよ。」
