Wild birds in the forest 〜林の中の野鳥〜

 

I saw cute birds in our forest when I was filling the water in the water trough for cows. They were literally walking on the tree, and they were so adorable!

牛たち用の水桶にお水を入れていたとき、林の中でかわいい鳥たちを見かけました。鳥たちは文字通り木の上を歩いていて、とっても愛らしかったです！

They even walk down the tree with the head down. I asked my neighbor who is a bird specialist if these birds are similar to woodpeckers. She said they are white breasted nuthatch. I was excited to see the beautiful wild birds chose our forest to nest.

その鳥たちは、頭を下にして木を降りたりもしたのです。私は、鳥のスペシャリストであるご近所さんに、この鳥たちはキツツキの似たような鳥かと尋ねました。その人は、ゴジュウカラだと言いました。素晴らしい野鳥たちが、うちの林を巣作りに選んでくれたことに、ワクワクしました。

Mommy: "I'm home. I saw adorable birds in the forest.... What!? What are you doing, Sachi?"

ママ：「ただいま〜　林で愛らしい鳥たちを見てね‥‥　えっ！？　さっちゃん、なにしてるの？」

Sachi: "Me? I thought of going in the toy box, I'm now thinking to put it on me."

さち：「わたち？　おもちゃ箱に入ろうかなあ、と思ったけど、今はかぶろうかなあって考えてるところ。」

Makana: "I didn't teach anything. She just came up with all ideas by herself."

マカナ：「ぼく、なんにも教えてないよ。さっちゃんが、自分で考えたの。」

Golden Retriever brought us a Gold Medal! 〜ゴールデンレトリバーが、ゴールドメダルを持ってきてくれた！〜

 

A piece of happy news! Our white wine, Golden Blend 2021 received a Gold Medal from OC Fair Commercial Wine Competition. The score was 92 points. 

うちの白ワイン、ゴールデンブレンド 2021が、OC Fair Commercial Wine Competitionからゴールドメダルをいただきました！スコアは、92点でした。 

So far, almost all vintages with Grenache Blanc received a Gold Medal. We are very happy!

これまで、グルナッシュブランを使ったワインのほぼすべてのヴィンテージに、ゴールドメダルをいただきました。とってもうれしいです！

Ehime: "You made a special pencil designed label with me. So as a Gold(en) Retriever, I brought you a Gold Medal. He he♪"

えひめ：「ペンシルデザインで、わたちの特別ラベルを作ってもらいまちたからね〜　ゴールド（デン）レトリバーとちて、わたちがママたちにゴールドメダルを持ってきてあげたんでしゅよ。えへへ♪」

Mommy: "You work hard for the winery even from the Rainbow Bridge. Thank you, Ehime."

ママ：「ワイナリーのために、虹の橋からも一生懸命働いてくれてるのね。ありがとね、ひめたん。」

The early bird gets to go bathroom. 〜早起きはトイレの徳〜

 

Mommy: "Strawberry Supermoon tonight. It's so big and bright."

ママ：「今夜は、ストロベリースーパームーン。とっても大きくてキラキラしてる。」

Mommy: "The sunrise... It's beautiful, but I'm so sleepy... I wish Sachi would sleep until 6:00am if it's possible... "

ママ：「日の出‥‥ きれいだけど、すごく眠い‥‥　できればさっちゃんには、朝6時まで眠っていてもらいたいんだけど‥‥」

Sachi: "When the morning birds start to sing, we should wake up."

さち：「朝の鳥が鳴き始めたら、起きなくっちゃね。」

Makana: "I could sleep until 6:00am. You wake up too early."

マカナ：「ぼくは、朝6時まで眠れる。さっちゃんは、早起きしすぎなんだよ。」

Sachi lost K9 teeth. 〜さち、犬歯を無くしました〜

 

Mommy: "Ma-kun showed up with the bloody head! It didn't look like he is injured. Can we check Sachi's mouth just in case? They were wrestling a few minutes ago."

ママ：「マーくんがね、頭に血をつけてきたのよ！どこもケガしていないみたいだけど。念のため、さっちゃんのお口をチェックしない？　数分前レスリングしてたから。」

Daddy: "OK. Let's do it. Open your mouth, Sachi."

パパ：「うん。そうしよう。さち、お口開けて。」

Sachi: "Ahhh."

さち：「あああ。」

Mommy: "Let me see... Oh, my gosh! She lost two teeth up & down!"

ママ：「見せて‥‥ わあ！さっちゃん、上と下、二本の歯を無くしてる！」

Daddy: "K9 teeth. That's why she is bleeding."

パパ：「犬歯だな。だから出血してるんだよ。」

Sachi: "Shtopp it!"

さち：「ぎゃめて〜！」

They all live happily together. 〜みんな一緒に、幸せに暮らしてるよ〜

 

Yesterday, Happy's foster mommy came to say good-bye to Happy. We talked how much joy Happy brought into our life. For example, she quickly went in the barn when it started to rain, because she didn't want to get wet. She dashed to the treat bucket and hay because she really loved to eat, etc.

昨日、ハッピーの里親ママさんが、ハッピーにさよならを言いにきてくれました。私たちは、ハッピーがどれだけ私たちの人生に喜びをもたらしてくれたか話しました。例えば、雨が降り始めたら、濡れるのがイヤなので、ささっと牛舎に入ってしまったこと。食べることが本当に大好きなので、おやつのバケツや干草にダッシュしたこと、などです。

Happy's foster mommy gave some hay to Happy's children, Serene & Sunny. I'm really glad she visited us yesterday. She is probably the best person whom my husband & I can talk to and share our feelings with at this moment. 

ハッピーの里親ママさんは、ハッピーの子どもたち、セリーン＆サニーに干草をあげてくれました。昨日里親ママさんが訪ねてきてくださり、本当に嬉しかったです。里親ママさんは多分、主人と私が今の時点で話しができて、自分たちの気持ちをシェアできる一番の方なのでしょうね。

Today　今日

Daddy: "This is a quite deep hole."

パパ：「これは、かなり深い穴だな。」

Mommy: "Happy can sleep quietly and peacefully."

ママ：「ハッピーちゃん、静かに穏やかに眠れるわね。」

Mommy: "Serene & Sunny stayed with Happy since she passed away. They are now seeing off their mommy with us."

ママ：「セリーンくんとサニーちゃん、ハッピーちゃんが亡くなってからずっとそばにいてくれたのよね。今は、私たちと一緒にお母さんを見送ってる。」

Daddy: "That's true."

パパ：「そうだね。」

Sachi: "I hope Happy is not suffering now."

さち：「ハッピーちゃんが、もう苦しんでいませんように。」

Makana: "She is not. Happy went to see our brothers and sisters. They all live happily together."

マカナ：「苦しんでないよ。ハッピーちゃんは、ぼくたちのにいたんやねえたんに会いに行ったんだ。みんな一緒に、幸せに暮らしてるよ。」

We miss you, Happy... 〜ハッピー、恋しくてたまらないよ〜

 

Our first Jersey cow, Happy passed away. When my husband went to feed cows this morning, he found her laying on the ground. As soon as he told me, I ran down. She was already cold.

私たちの初めてのジャージー牛、ハッピーが亡くなりました。主人が今朝牛たちにごはんをあげに行ったところ、ハッピーが地面に倒れているのを見つけました。主人に聞いて私もすぐに駆けつけました。ハッピーは、すでに冷たかったです。

Happy raised three beautiful cows in her life. Two of her treasures are still with us. Thank you for all the joy you brought us, Happy. We are already missing you so much.

 ハッピーは、三頭のかわいい牛たちを育てました。その宝物たちのうち二頭は、今も私たちと一緒にいます。ハッピー、私たちに喜びをもたらしてくれてありがとう。もうすでにハッピーが恋しくてたまらないよ。

Sachi: "We love you, Happy."

さち：「ハッピーちゃん、大好きよ。」

Forever love, Happy...

I love my brother. 〜にいにいが大好き〜

Mommy: "Oh, my. When I look at you two like this, I see Sachi really got bigger.."

ママ：「わあ。こうやってふたりを見てみると、さっちゃん、本当に大きくなったわね〜」 

Sachi: "♪♪♪"

さち：「♪♪♪」

Sachi: "Oops. I dropped my bone."

さち：「おっと。カミカミ落とちた。」

Mommy: "You are stepping on your brother with no hesitation."

ママ：「さっちゃん、躊躇なくにいにいを踏んでいくんだ。」

Mommy: "But I see Ma-kun really accepts you."

ママ：「でもマーくん、本当にさっちゃんのことを受け入れてるんだね。」

Sachi: "I love my brother❤︎"

さち：「わたち、にいにいのこと、大好き❤︎」
