Busy holiday season 〜ホリデーシーズンは忙しい〜

Oh my gosh. How busy this holiday season is. The Japanese word for December is Shiwasu, which means even the priest runs this month. I think that's completely right. One of the things I had to do today is writing Christmas cards to mail oversea. 

なんてことでしょう。ホリデーシーズンは本当に忙しいです。日本語で12月を師走と言い、この月はお坊さんも走るほど忙しいという意味ですが、それは本当に正しいと思います。今日しなければいけなかったことのひとつは、海外に送るためのクリスマスカードを書くことでした。

Ehime: "How are you doing, mommy?"

えひめ：「ママ、調子はどうでしゅか？」

Mommy: "So far so good."

ママ：「今のところ大丈夫よ。」

Mommy: "I decided to include our Christmas photo like this."

ママ：「クリスマスの写真、こうやって貼ることにしたの。」 

Mommy: "For the house, I'm going to use this photo frame."

ママ：「おうち用には、この写真立てを使おうかな。」

Mommy: "What do you think of this, Ehime? This looks so Christmas, doesn't it?"

ママ：「ひめたん、これ、どう思う？クリスマスって感じでしょ？」

Ehime: "Yes, but I'm looking down..."

えひめ：「そうでしゅね。でも、わたち、下向いてる‥‥」

Mommy: "What do you think, Kahlua... Um... you are deeply in a sleep."

ママ：「カルアくんはどう思う‥‥　あ‥‥　熟睡してる。」

Mommy: "Let's put the photos of Leo and Sophie in the frames. These are going to be Christmas gifts for their mommy♪"

ママ：「写真立てに、レオくんとソフィちゃんのお写真を入れてあげようっと。これ、ふたりのママさんへのクリスマスプレゼント♪」

Kona: "Are you having the same lunch as yesterday?"

コナ：「昨日と同じランチなの？」

Mommy: "Leftovers make a great lunch for me."

ママ：「残り物って、ママひとりのランチにはピッタリなのよ。」

Mommy: "They went outside for bathroom and got some energy out. Now it's the time for walking with Leo and Sophie."

ママ：「みんなお外に出てトイレもできたし、ちょっと遊んでエネルギー発散もできたし。よし、今度はレオくんとソフィちゃんのお散歩だわ。」

After coming back from a walk with Leo & Sophie...

レオくんとソフィちゃんのお散歩から戻ってくると‥‥

Ehime: "Welcome back, mommyyyyy♪ (smile)"

えひめ：「ママ〜〜〜、おかえり〜♪（ニコッ）」

Mommy: "Thank you for your big smile, Ehime♪"

ママ：「あら、ひめたん、そんなにニコニコしてくれてありがと♪」

I did some work for cosmetics and did house errands. I needed to turn on the lights around 4:00pm, but the half of the lights above the kitchen table didn't turn on.

お化粧品のお仕事をして、家の用事をしました。午後4時頃、電気をつけなければいけませんでしたが、キッチンテーブルの上の電気が半分、つきませんでした。

Mommy: "This is the only table where I can write Christmas cards. What should I do..."

ママ：「クリスマスカードを書けるテーブルはここだけなのよね。どうしようかな‥‥」

Mommy: "I got a good idea! Why don't I bring the bedside lamp from the night stand. Yay, this works!"

ママ：「あ、そうだ！ベッドの横にあるナイトスタンドから、ランプを持ってくるっていうのはどうかしら？ヤッタ〜、これでよし！」

Kona: "Mommy, we're almost dead with hunger. When is the dinner time?"

コナ：「ママ〜、ぼくたちおなかがすきすぎて死にそうだよ。晩ごはん、いつ？」

Mommy: "Oh, I'm sorry. I'm getting ready now."

ママ：「ああ、ごめんね。今から準備するね。」
