Carrots for Sunday breakfast 〜日曜日の朝食はニンジン〜

Mommy: "What should I do, Kona?"

ママ：「コナくん、どうしよう。」

Kona: "What happened?"

コナ：「どうしたの？」

Mommy: I bought a huge bag of organic carrots at Costco yesterday. How do you think I should use them?"

ママ：「きのうコストコで、大きなバッグに入ったオーガニックのニンジンを買ったのよ〜　どうやって使ったらいいかしらね〜。」

Ehime: "You can store in my stomach. Fu fu♪」

えひめ：「わたちのおなかで保存ちてもいいでしゅよ。うふふ♪」

Mommy: "...... What should I do, Kahlua?"

ママ：「‥‥　カルア、どうしたらいいと思う？」

Kahlua: "Why don't you make carrot muffins for Sunday breakfast?"

カルア：「日曜日の朝ごはん用に、キャロットマフィンを作ってみるのはどう？」

Mommy: "That sounds great! Let's do that. Darling, can you help me?"

ママ：「それいいアイディア！やってみよう。パパ、手伝ってくれる？」

Daddy: "OK. I'll grate carrots."

パパ：「わかった。じゃ、ぼくはニンジンをするね。」

Ehime: "Don't worry if you make a mess, daddy. I'm the best cleaner ever."

えひめ：「パパ、ニンジンが落ちても気にちないでいいでしゅよ。わたち、世界一のクリーナーしゃんでしゅから。」

Mommy: "Darling, can you mix carrots and raisins into the dough?"

ママ：「パパ？生地にニンジンとレーズンを混ぜてくれる？」

Daddy: "OK."

パパ：「いいよ。」

Daddy: "You can put the dough in the cups, honey."

パパ：「ママ、カップに生地を入れてくれる？」

Mommy: "OK."

ママ：「はい。」

Ehime: "What's my job, daddy?"

えひめ：「パパ、わたちの仕事はなんでしゅか？」

Daddy: "Umm... Just 'stay'"

パパ：「じゃ‥‥　”ステイ”。」

Mommy: "Ta da! This is a great Sunday breakfast, isn't it?"

ママ：「ダダーン！これ、日曜日の朝ごはんに、すごくいいと思わない？」

Daddy: "I agree. This is delicious♪"

パパ：「ホント。とってもおいしいよ♪」

Ehime: "I think the carrot biscuits for doggies are much more delicious."

えひめ：「犬用ニンジンビスケットのほうが、よっぽどおいちいと思いましゅけど。」

Introducing some interesting photos 〜ちょっとした写真の紹介〜

Kona: "Mommy, the paparazzi, takes a lot of photos every day. Some interesting photos haven't been introduced on the blog yet."

コナ：「パパラッチのママは、毎日たくさん写真を撮るんだよ。最近撮ったおもしろい写真の何枚かは、まだブログで紹介されてないんだ。」

Ehime: "Let's see them together today."

えひめ：「今日は、一緒にしょの写真を見るでしゅよ。」

Kona: "The first one is this."　コナ：「最初はこれ。」

Ehime: "Which one?"　えひめ：「どれ、どれ？」

Ehime: "Wow, this looks like a post card."

えひめ：「わぁ〜、これ、絵はがきみたいでしゅね〜」

Kona: "This is Garden Park. It was one of the very windy & cold days in February. Look at the thick clouds. We don't usually have those in Las Vegas."

コナ：「これはガーデンパーク。２月のとっても風が強くて寒い日だったな〜　見て、この分厚い雲。ラスベガスでこんな雲を見ることはあんまりないよね。」

Ehime: "I remember that day. It was a cold day..."

えひめ：「今思いだちまちた。あれは、寒い日でちた‥‥」

Kona: "Maybe this photo makes you feel better. Mommy planted some seeds in a small silver  bucket. Can you see small sprouts came out? They are chives."

コナ：「この写真を見たら元気になるよ。ママが小さなシルバーのバケツに植えた種から、芽が出て来たんだ。これは、チャイブだよ。」

Ehime: "I feel like spring now♪"

えひめ：「春って感じがしましゅね♪」

Kona: "Speaking of which, people enjoy some outside activities in spring."

コナ：「そう言えば、春になると、みんな外でのアクティビティを楽しむようになるんだ。」

Ehime: "For example?"　えひめ：「たとえば？」

Kona: "Balloons. This is the photo from the day we had a trip to Los Angeles. Even Las Vegas had a nice weather that day, so some people enjoyed riding balloons."

コナ：「気球だよ。これは、ぼくたちがロサンゼルスに行った日に撮った写真なんだけれど、あの日はラスベガスでもいいお天気だったんだって。それで、気球を楽しむ人たちがいたんだ。」

Ehime: "Nice!"　えひめ：「いいでしゅね〜」

Ehime" There is one photo I want to show."

えひめ：「わたちも見せたい写真があるんでしゅけど。」

Kona: "Which one?"　コナ：「どれ？」

Ehime: "This one. Oh, I didn't do it! My birth sister, Penny Lane did it. I think she's practicing to get attention from people because she wants to be a model in the future."

えひめ：「これ。あ、わたちじゃないでしゅよ。生まれたときの姉妹のペニーレーンちゃんがやりまちた。ペニーレーンちゃん、モデル志望だから、今から注目をあびる練習をちてるでしゅよ。」

Kona: "She's smart. I have one more photo to show you. This one."

コナ：「ペニーレーンちゃん、なかなか賢いね〜　ぼくももう一枚見せたい写真があるんだ。これ。」

Ehime: "This was the side dish mommy made the other day. What about this?"

えひめ：「これ、こないだママが作ったサイドディッシュ。これがどうちたんでしゅか？」

Kona: "Mommy & daddy bought a bag of avocados  at Costco. They were very delicious. But the problem was all avocados got ripe at the same time. So mommy asked her blog friend what to do with them. She appreciated the advice and made this by listening to her friend."

コナ：「パパとママ、コストコでアボカドを買ったんだ。とってもおいしかったんだけれど、問題がひとつあって。みんな同時に熟したんだよ！それでママ、ブログ友達のkermitさん にアドバイスをもらって、このサイドディッシュを作ったんだよ。」

Ehime: "Using the full power of the blog!"　えひめ：「ブログの力をフル活用でしゅね！」

Kona: "That's right!"　コナ：「その通り！」

Kahlua: "Let's see what else we have. Oh... are we ending? I didn't have a lot of chances to talk today..."

カルア：「他にはどんな写真があるかな。え？もう終わり‥‥？今日はあまりしゃべるチャンスがなかったな、ぼく‥‥」

How to make parsley biscuits 〜パセリビスケットの作り方〜

Mommy: "Let's make parsley biscuits today♪"

ママ：「今日は、パセリのビスケットを作ってみよう♪」

Ehime: "Why parsley?"

えひめ：「なんでパセリなんでしゅか？」

Mommy: "Parsley prevents aging and cancer. Also, it cleans your stomach and works well for bad breath."

ママ：「パセリはね、老化防止とがん予防になるんだって。それから腸を掃除して、口臭を抑えてくれるって。」

Ehime: "Is that right?"　えひめ：「しょうなんでしゅか。」

Mommy: "First you mix well an egg and butter. Then, add parmesan cheese, milk, powdered milk, and chopped parsley into the mix."

ママ：「最初に、卵とバターをよく混ぜます。次に、みじん切りにしたパセリ、パルメザンチーズとミルク、それから粉ミルクを、バターに混ぜ入れます。」

Ehime: "Does it take a long time?"　えひめ：「時間かかるでしゅか？」

Mommy: "Not really."　ママ：「そんなことないよ。」

Mommy: "Now you add oat bran, flour and baking powder."

ママ：「次にオートブランと小麦粉とベーキングパウダーを入れて、と。」

Ehime: "Can I help?"　えひめ：「お手伝いちましょうか？」

Mommy: "... How?"　ママ：「‥‥　どうやって？」

Mommy: "Roll the dough and cut it out with the bone-shaped cutter."

ママ：「生地を伸ばし、骨型のカッターでくりぬきます。」

Ehime: "Mmmm... They smell so good even before baking."

えひめ：「くぅ〜　焼く前からいいにおいがちましゅよ。」

Mommy: "375F in the oven for 15-16min."

ママ：「180〜190度くらいのオーブンで15分か16分。」

Mommy: "Oh, hi, Kona. What's up?"　ママ：「あれ、コナくん。どうしたの？」

Kona: "Well... I'm following the smell♪"　コナ：「えっと‥‥　においにつられて♪」

Mommy: "You don't have to wait right next to the oven, Kona."

ママ：「コナ、オーブンの横で待たなくていいのよ。」

Mommy: "They are done♪"　ママ：「できた〜♪」

Ehime: "I thought I was the first one in the line. When did it change?"

えひめ：「わたちが列の一番だと思ってまちたけど、いつ変わったでしゅか？」

Kona: "We had a good snack and did a good amount of exercise. It was a good day, wasn't it, Ehime?'

コナ：「今日はおいしいおやつを食べて運動もたくさんしたし、いい一日だったよね、ひめたん？」

Ehime: It was♪ Let's do night-night here together, brother Kona."

えひめ：「はい♪　コナにい、ここで一緒にナイナイちましょ。」

Ingredients: flour 100g, oat bran 100g, baking powder 1/2tsp, low fat milk 80ml, 1 egg, powder milk 2tbs, parmesan cheese 2tbs, parsley 10g, non salt butter 10g

材料：小麦粉100g、オートブラン100g、ベーキングパウダー小さじ1/2m、低脂肪牛乳80ml、卵１個、粉ミルク大さじ2、パルメザンチーズ大さじ2、パセリ10g、無塩バター10g

Finding spring 〜春、見つけたよ〜

Daddy: "Look, this tree is having buds now."

パパ：「見て。この木、つぼみが出てきたよ。」

Mommy: "Yay! Spring is around the corner."

ママ：「ヤッタ〜。春はもうそこまで来てるね〜」

Daddy: "Let's find spring today."

パパ：「今日は春探しをしてみよう。」

Everyone: "OK!"

みんな：「OK！」

Mommy: "Look at my favorite tree on this street. They have young green leaves and cute flowers now."

ママ：「見て、この通りでママが一番好きな木。若くてきれいな緑の葉っぱと、かわいい花をつけてるよ。」

Daddy: "Nice! You found a good sign of spring, honey."

パパ：「お、ナイス！ママ、いい春を見つけたね〜」

Ehime: "Lucky! I found some big seeds that palm trees dropped. They are actually delicious♪ Does this count as spring?"

えひめ：「ラッキー！わたち、ヤシの木が落とした 大きな種をいくつか見つけまちたよ。この種、実はおいちいんでしゅよね♪　これって、春でしゅか？」

Daddy: "I guess... Just don't eat them, Ehime."

パパ：「多分‥‥　でも食べないでよね、えひめ。」

Kahlua: "I think we can find spring a little bit ahead of us."

カルア：「このもうちょっと先で、春があるんだと思うんだけど。」

Kona: "I know, I know! There are many palm seeds there. Let's go eat... I mean... found spring♪"

コナ：「そうそう！あそこにたくさんヤシの木の種があるんだよね〜　さぁ、食べに！‥‥　じゃなくて、春を探しにいこう♪」

Kahlua: "Daddy? Wearing a big coat makes me feel a little warm today..."

カルア：「パパ？こんな毛の長いコートを着ていると、今日はちょっと暑いね‥‥」

Ehime: "That's why I'm walking in the daddy's shadow. Fu fu♪"

えひめ：「だからわたちは、パパの影を歩いているんでしゅよ。うふふ♪」

Ehime: "Mommy, you should work harder to find spring."

えひめ：「ママ、春探し、もうちょっとガンバって下しゃいよ。」

Mommy: "I'll do my best."

ママ：「ガンバります。」

Daddy: "Oh, look! That pink flower is really like spring."

パパ：「あ、見て！あのピンクの花、本当に春って感じだね〜」

Mommy: "Oh, wow. That is pretty."

ママ：「あら、ホント！かわいいわね〜」

Ehime: "Daddy, you are good at finding spring."

えひめ：「パパ、春を見つけるの、上手でしゅね〜」

 Daddy: "Because I can't wait to have warmer weather."

パパ：「だって、温かくなるのが待ち遠しいんだもん。」

Daddy: "We are back. It's going to be a good day today."

パパ：「おうちにとうちゃ〜く。なんか今日はいい一日いなりそうだね〜」
