さち：「わたち、一番。よちよちちてくれる？」

Makana: "I was the first, but Sachi got in my way!"

マカナ：「ぼくが一番だったのに、さっちゃんがぼくのジャマをしたのっ！」

Sachi: "No!!! That was not intentional!"

さち：「ちがうっ！！！　わざとじゃないもん！」

Makana: "I was the first!"

マカナ：「ぼくが一番だったのに！」

Sachi: "I was the first, too!"

さち：「わたちも一番だった！」

Mommy: "Oh, well. I was going to pet you guys if you sit nicely in front of me."

ママ：「あ〜あ。ふたりがママの前でちゃんとおすわりしてくれたら、よしよししようと思ったのにな〜」

Sachi: "I'm sitting well♪"

さち：「わたち、ちゃんとおすわりちてましゅから♪」

Makana: "I'm not completely convinced, but I want to be petted."

マカナ：「なんか納得いかないけど、よしよしはしてもらいたい。」

Mommy: "Love you both❤︎"

ママ：「ふたりとも、大好きよ❤︎」

Blanching tomatoes 〜トマトのブランチング〜

Mommy: "I blanched tomatoes at work yesterday. For the restaurant special, I peeled and marinated them to make honey tomatoes with mozzarella pettite salad."

ママ：「昨日トマトをブランチングしたの。レストラン用のスペシャルとして、ハチミツトマトとモッツァレラチーズのペティートサラダを作るのに、皮むきしてマリネしたのよ。」

Mommy: "We've been receiving great reviews for this dish. I hope we can continue for a little while."

ママ：「このお料理はいい評価を頂いてるから、しばらく続けられるといいな。」

Makana: "Tomatoes are great. I think Sachi gets excited."

マカナ：「トマトはいいね。さっちゃんが、ワクワクすると思うよ。」

Mommy: "Umm... I don't need to share honey tomatoes with Sachi..."

マカナ：「あの‥‥ ハチミツトマトをさっちゃんとシェアする必要はないんだけど‥‥」

First harvest of the season 〜今年初の収穫〜

 

Daddy: "The first harvest at our vineyard this year has started."

パパ：「今年初、うちのぶどう畑での収穫が始まった。」

Mommy: "This harvest is going to be used to make rosé. We pick only a few tons today, right?"

ママ：「この収穫は、ロゼを造るためのもの。今日は、数トンだけ収穫するのよね？」

Daddy: "That's right. Scheduling today is a little challenging."

パパ：「その通り。今日のスケジューリング、ちょっと難しいな。」

Makana: "I know how that feels like, daddy. I've been supervising the picking crew. I'm now a little tired."

マカナ：「パパ、その気持ちわかるよ。ぼく、収穫チームの監督をしているんだけど、もうちょっと疲れちゃったよ。」

Mommy: "Well, you don't have to supervise them."

ママ：「あのね、監督する必要はないのよ。」

Assembling the organizer 〜オーガナイザーの組み立て〜

Mommy: "So, I asemble like this..."

ママ：「で、こうやって組み立てて‥‥」

Mommy: "And I tighten four screws to connect each shelf. See? I can asemble the document organizer with no problem♪"

ママ：「で、それぞれの棚をくっつけるのに、４本のネジを締める。ほら！　書類のオーガナイザー、問題なく組み立てられた♪」

Mommy: "Oh? I finished assembling, but why are there so many parts left???"

ママ：「あれ？　組み立ては終わったのに、なんでたくさんパーツが残ってるの？？？」

Makana: "You should ask daddy when he comes back. He is better when it comes to assemble."

マカナ：「パパが帰ってきたときに聞いた方がいいんじゃない？　組み立てに関しては、パパの方が得意なんだから。」

Mommy: "Aww..."

ママ：「あうう‥‥」

Daddy: "Let's press grapes and get juice out."

パパ：「ぶどうをプレスして、果汁を出そう。」

Mommy: "It smells great."

ママ：「いい香りがするわ〜」

Daddy: "Now I got enough juice. Let's check the brix."

パパ：「そろそろ十分かな。糖度を測ろう。」

Mommy: "What's the number?"

ママ：「数字は？」

Daddy: "It's about the right time to make rosé. But it's still a little more time to make red wine."

パパ：「ロゼを造るには良い頃かな。でも赤ワインを造るには、まだもうちょっと時間が必要だ。」

Mommy: "Wine-making is communicationg with Mother Nature."

ママ：「ワイン醸造は、母なる自然とのコミュニケーションだもんね。」

Makana: "I communicate with Mother Nature, too, to find out where the gophers are located then."

マカナ：「ぼくも母なる自然とコミュニケーションを取るよ、その時ホリネズミがどこにいるかを尋ねるのに。」

Mommy: "I don't know if you call it communicationg with Mother Nature."

ママ：「それを”自然とコミュニケーションを取る”って呼ぶのは、どうかな。」

パパ：「ここからぶどうを取るよ。」

Mommy: "OK. Sample grapes are looking great."

ママ：「OK。サンプル用のぶどう、いい感じだわね。」

Daddy: "Why don't you pick a cluster from that side, honey?"

パパ：「ママ、そっち側から房を取るのはどう？」

Mommy: "OK. I'll do it."

ママ：「うん。取ってくる。」

Mommy: "How's the taste, darling?"

ママ：「パパ、お味はどう？」

Daddy: "Sweet. But The seeds are still green."

パパ：「甘い。でも種がまだ青いな。」

Mommy: "Mine, too."

ママ：「私のも。」

Daddy: "Let's go back home and check the brix."

パパ：「家に帰って、糖度を測ろう。」

House　おうち

Sachi: "Are you going to eat grapes? Where are my apples?"

さち：「ぶどうを食べるんでしゅか？　わたちのりんごは？」

Daddy: "We are not eating. We are checking the brix of grapes."

パパ：「食べるんじゃないよ。ぶどうの糖度を測るんだ。」

Mommy: "It means a harvest is getting close."

ママ：「収穫が近いってことよ。」

マカナ：「じゃないと、多分今ごろはさっちゃんが掘りおこしてたよ。」

The reason why Serene comes to me 〜セリーンくんが来てくれる理由〜

 

Mommy: "Oh, Serene! You walked up to me. Not to the water, not to the treat. You came to me. How adorable♪"

ママ：「あら、セリーンくん！　私のところに歩いて来てくれた〜　お水でもなく、おやつでもなく、私のところに来てくれた。なんてかわいいの♪」

Serene: "Umm, yes."

セリーン：「あ、うん。」

Serene: "I was kind of wishing you to get rid of flies that come around my eyes, but let's try not to say this."

セリーン：「目のまわりのハエを払ってくれるといいなあ、と思ってたことは、は言わないことにしよう。」

Sachi: "It's OK, Serene. I sometimes go to mommy , too, to see if she can clean the area around my right eye. But mommy is happy, so I won't say anything."

さち：「セリーンくん、大丈夫でしゅよ。わたちもときどきママのところに行って、右目のまわりをきれいにちてもらおうとしゅるんでしゅけど、ママは幸せしょうだから、何も言わないんでしゅよ。」

Mommy: "?"

ママ：「？」

Cleaning is important, right? 〜お掃除は、大切でしょう？〜

 

Makana: "Don't you think mommy & daddy come back home late every night?"

マカナ：「パパとママ、毎晩帰ってくるの、遅いと思わない？」

Sachi: "Yes, I do. Was it 10:30pm last night?"

さち：「思いましゅよ。昨夜は、夜10時半だったかな？」」

Mommy: "Well, we all clean the tasting room, the restaurant and the kitchen after the customers left. Cleaning is improtant, right?"

ママ：「だって、テイスティングルームやレストラン、きちんは、お客様がお帰りになったあとにみんなでお掃除するんだもの。お掃除は、大切でしょう？」

Mommy: "So, why don't you put your toys away? Leaving the stuff on the floor is not good, right?"

ママ：「だからね、おもちゃを片付けるのはどう？　床におもちゃを置いておくのは、よくないでしょう？」

Makana: "You should ask Sachi. She is the one who brings toys and chew them here."

マカナ：「さっちゃんに言ってよ。おもちゃを持ってきてここでカミカミするの、さっちゃんなんだから。」

Mommy: "I guess you are right about that."

ママ：「ま、そうだわね。」

Making pressed flowers 〜押し花を作る〜

Mommy: "I picked a few cute flowers from the backyard. This is my first time making pressed flowers. I wonder if I can do well."

ママ：「裏庭から、かわいいお花を数本摘んできた。押し花を作るのは、これが初めてなの。うまくできるかしら。」

Mommy: "Let's use the heavy cooking books to press. Oh, maybe I should leave a note on top. Otherwise daddy might wonder why the cook books are here."

ママ：「重しに重い料理本を使おうっと。あ、そうだ。上にメモを乗せておいたほうがいいかもね。じゃないとパパ、なんでここに料理本があるのか不思議に思うかもしれないし。」

Makana: "I think he will figure it out, because you've been talking about pressing flowers almost every day."

マカナ：「気づくと思うよ。だってママ、毎日のように押し花の話しをしてたから。」

Mommy: "Have I? I guess I was more interested than I thought ♪"

ママ：「そうだった？　思っていたより興味があったのかも♪」
